i was thinking..
how good would it be if you had to post at least 20 replies to other peoples threads before you were allowed to post your own threads..
it would sort the serious people out from the others..
i have no problem replying to others tracks but feel so many people dont get the replies they deserve..
i just think it would section out the spammers and make the producers forum so much more productive... the newbs have to earn the right to post their tracks..
and then once you have done that then you have to keep up to date by replying to at least 2 threads before each of your new tracks/ topics are posted..
is this possible?
what you guys think? |

good idea.. but it wouldnt work..
people can just say "nice track" without even heard the track..
its not about how *many* replies u get, but how useful the replies u get are for you |

i know, but it would be nice to hear a good/bad comment..
if i make a track it is nice to know it is being enjoyed.
id be more inclined to make them 320k full versions if i knew people would say they loved it/hated it.. it kinda makes it worth it..
this would ween out the annnoying leachers that waste banwidth LOL |

A better idea imo would be to do a new section for users with less than 6 months and 200 replys, once they have 6 months and 200 then they can get into the producers section so we would have serious users though.

I would love this to be a general rule in this forum. For every thread posted 3 reviews have to be carried out, though there is no way to enforce this rule. As Subtle has stated, it would be easily bypassed. New will continually join & spam us without bothering to acknowledge the rules anyway.

That could possibly work.
I would be good if had no thread create option; they can post replies in threads but can not start a new one until the 3 month probationary period is over. Hopefully in that time they might have picked up on the "Eye for an eye' concept. |

maybe not 6 months.. maybe a shorter time scale.. make it more about how many replies the member has made before they can post their own threads..
the best would be if a new reply only showed up on your thread once you had replied to a randomly selected thread from that week.. would be complex but would force the 'eye for an eye' system... and i bet you would get replies from people that dont usually check your stuff.. |
