Great too meet you Jules, thanks for glist ;) Dissapointed 2 have missed your set!!! But will catch one soon
---------------------------------------------------------------------
What a great night  I know a few are disapointed, but I really enjoyed myself & so did 'Groova' who I hung with for a large part of the night :eyespop:
Hadn't seen or even heard CL live so can't say i'm disapointed in what he played, it was pretty much what I expected & it kept me movin' :eyes:
Steve Strangis Vs Scott Bateman: Very good, these guys got me into the mood for a big one :whip:
Papa Smurf: Played quality tunes!
Ben Evans: Like Ben's style played "I know your gone" which is one of my fav. tracks.
Scott Alert Vs NFX (Live): Brought back memories of Deluxe/Hard Kandy alotta older rocking tunes, surprised the floor was 90% empty!!! No NFX?
Matt Belleghem: Quality as usual!
Got to meet more TA's: Won't go into naming, you know who u are, pleasure meeting you all - :toocool: |

I had alot of fun but as a few have already stated CL 06 was like a completely different act to CL in 05.
There were a few promotional issues but when you have KvA 2 weeks prior then for the first time in 3 years PVD at $60 a ticket, you have to expect a difficult night. ;)
Great to meet so many new TA's, I had no idea how many ppl have joined the boards lately! :D |

Unfortunately Nick (NFX) fell ill on Friday and was not well enough to play. Hopefully he'll have the opportunity to get some more exposure and show a wider audience what he's capable of in the near future. |

Quality night guys. Was really empty to start with, but I thought it filled up pretty well in the end. Definitely a long way from the emptiest I've ever seen Room, anyway (I think Phil K vs Zabiela - which was also promoted really badly by Room - wins that award).
As for the music, walked in just in time to see Scott and Steve's set and liked the really driving sound they had going for the most part. I'm thinking you guys should play together more often, cos you seem to complement each other pretty well. As for Lawrence, apparently he wasn't as good as he was last year, but he was about what I was expecting. Really liked the way he started off (I'm told by Jules that that was psy?) and finished, although it was a bit too hard for me there in the middle for a while. Spent the last part of the night in the side-room listening to Paulie and Lister, who were quality from what (little) I can remember.
Also cheers to Scott and Vi for their hospitality afterwards. I was planning on having a pretty quiet night beforehand but eh... like that was ever really going to happen. :stongue: |

thanks man, feedback is always appreciated. a last minute setlist rearrangement meant I played a different set time, set length and style to what was planned, but hey, I had a heap of fun doing it. :D |

Had a good night, enjoyed JPL & Scotty vs Strangas' sets :)
Left towards the end of CL's set, he didn't play as expected (as already mentioned 50 times in this thread :p).. was a little hard I guess? Not sure how to describe it really.
I thought it was pretty busy quite early considering, did start to quiet down during CL's set. Pretty mixed crowd which isn't a bad thing. |
