dude i am in no position to doubt your intellectual prowess in the intharweb forums and your eloquent display of political sciences knowhow, but seriously, do you think that your opinion about music carry any weight at all around here?
please, dont hide behind this "narrow-minded frame of mind" shield you have been so readily and conveniently put on whenever you encounter a completely different type of music that it is completely alien to you. if i may be so bold to venture an analogy, it is just like selling your 15 y.o girlfriend to suck just so you can get your next fix of smack.
...ok maybe thats not an exactly proper analogy but that's what my vicious mind can come up with at the moment.
i dont claim to be a walking encyclopedia of music (i never did) but i always try to push myself out of the geek (yeah i am a geek. i have to so i can put food on the table and afford rekkids and uh.. and the unnamed device to eradicate brain cells in my brain) envelope and try something new just because i firmly believe that something different is always going to be exciting.
so please, don't bag any type of music you don't have the slightest idea about, and if i maybe so bold to venture a suggestion, stop being a bonghead and take the next possible route to expand your consciousness for maybe even just a tiny bit. the method is up to you, (just don't take G. its foul!) then if you've reached your enlightenment, come and see me. :)
i better finish this post before i got mistaken for uh.. you know .. another regular long poster who shall remain nameless.. :toothless

He probably played a much much harder set to suit Brisbane, no fluffly loved up trance from this guy. Just some tough as nails, almost hard trance/dance tough-love-trance. Some random guy was like, "Hey, this guy's almost as good as that Hellraiser goth guy from last week" :D |
