Well, who has seen it?
I just got back from it, and I'll give you a few thoughts.
I read the original graphic novel back in 1993. It was the first "adult" comic book I ever read, and I was in love with it. Back then I signed all my emails with "V." No one knew what the hell it meant, because they had never heard of "V for Vendetta," but I thought I was cool. :D
That being said, I think they turned the comic into a better movie than a literal screen version of the comic would have been, but the comic was a better story. I think they tried too hard to turn it into something dealing with the modern war on terror, which the comic really wasn't about. Yes, it was about oppressive government, but it didn't have all the crap tying it in to modern day occurences. The comic book was more timeless in its message.
I was afraid when I heard Alan Moore decided he didn't want his name on the credits because he was so upset with how the movie differed from the book. But, in the end the movie was satisfying even with the changes.
On the way back to the car, my woman told me that it was the "best comic book movie yet." I have to agree.

just got back from it. in awesome. definetly an improvement from the last movie I saw in theatres (Ultraviolet). and just all around awesome.
the action didnt take the place of the story and it was a real good mind******. gets you to think about whats going on in the world and what means of obtaining freedom are justified.

| I might be seeing this movie tomorrow, so i'll let you know. But it looks awesome and Natalie Portman is my favorite actress. She looks hot even if she is bald! But her new hair do is :D |

| Were there any good trailers before the movie, I resently heard that the new Superman Returns trailer would be showing durring this movie, But so far, Some people who went to see the movie say it wasn't on it. And this just a day after they showed some special footage of the movie durring ShowWest. |

| I cropped the bit from Closer where she bends over into a small .avi file. I put it on repeat on winamp and play a dirty house set on my stereo whenever I get really down or disappointed in humanity. It's a picker-upper. |
