I was checking out an auction on a restored Camaro, I knew that Hemi was Dodge, but never really put 2 and 2 together... so I figured they had one. I think they put a new Mopar Engine in there.

tried to make one of those for my buddies 72 mav actually. since he is cheaper than a dutch man, we found a chrome skull at the local weird person shop (goth store) and brought it to the university machine shop. drilled it and tapped teh set screw so i could mount it to the stick, drilled the locations for teh eye leds, thats the easy part. try putting the in led's and resistors in that in thing so it would glow..... goddamn impossible.gave up and drilled the 8 ball we stole from teh pub instead

hemi is kind of an overblown term.

it just means that part if the piston is hemisperical, which, at the time when it first came out, made quite an increase in compression and power.

now though, there are so many other types of pisons, some superior, that hemi is kind of an over-used and not very well understooed term

the only mopar i would ever want, is i cudda......... competition orange with a flat black hood and decklid..... its a panty dropper

Lol, I would never do any of that. Except maybe the dice. The only modification that Id make to the car is put a CD player in there. Driving a '69, you have to listen to the Monkeys and the Doors when cruising around.

One other mod Ive thought about making is making it a hard-top convertable, but I think its more fantasy than reality. :p

PS: I know almost nothing about cars, one of these days... maybe next year (since I probably wont be in medical school) Ill go to automotive school and learn all the in's and out's of cars.

i'm on the hunt for a 1968 Dodge Charger 440 RT to restore, there is only like 40 of them in the UK.

Been scanning ebay motors for them and have found a couple, just got to organise shipping and insurance and all that crap now :rolleyes:

and buy the expensive cylinders its cheaper than buying a new engine and it runs like new

i'd keep the old engine, but it's truely a piece. firstly, it's just a straight six, which is kinda
and secondly, i'd spend just as much rebuilding it as i would buying anwe one, there is very little useable parts out if it

I have a 1968 Mercury Cougar that I bought when I was 16. I still have it. It's a great daily driver and I've fixed it up a little bit, but I haven't gotten too involved with it because I have neither the time nor the money to spend right now.

It's going to be a restomrod since then trans and motor are from different cars. I don't care. It turns heads.

I like it because you don't see many Cougars on the road. Mustangs and Camaros are a dime a dozen.
