Serious SONA question... (pg. 6)

in addition to what was already said, Sona will go down in history as the place where I had some of the BEST nights in my life (also the old-school 514 events).

Out of all the afterhours places, Sona is/was the ONLY place I could go to alone and feel 100% comfortable. As crazy as it sounds, it was like a second home, and everyone there felt like true family. Or maybe I was really cracked out at the time...who knows  :haha:

The Dj whores then where slaves to the beat and not slaves at trying to get a dj to look at them....

I always hear only GREAT things about this club, it's a real shame it was before my time :(:(

I could write an essay on why Sona was so great... it's still my original home and none of the current afterhours is what Sona was....

The Sona-heads that went weekend after weekend for years know the feeling that we have and know why we call it home.

Sona was also somewhat ELITE due to it's semi circle line system that could take hours to get in or you could completely get refused entry. Lots of people that would get rejected from Sona would go to Redlite or Stereo after, so Sona always had this elitest feel to it.

I'm not going to write about what made it so great because like I said, I'd write a whole essay.

Quels étaient les critères pour être sélectionnés pour rentrer?

Well, if you werent't already passing out on 6 pills in the line-up, you would go in eventually. When they saw somebody that they didn't want, they came closer and said "ok it's full you are not coming in tonight..." Basically that meant to others beside him just wait for that guy to leave and you will go in.

But some took it literrally and went home... suckers lol

I think it was based on your looks or coolness. They usually didn't accept bribes.... was a rule.

as bein the staff from opening in 96 to about 2000, no afterhrs will beat or match the feeling of being there LIVE, u guys talk alot about the almost end of the legacy while for me the best time was in the begining starting with opening night: Rabbit in the Moon, then after Josh Wink during his higher state of consiousness time, Fatboy Slim in the bar, Derrick Carter, Goldie, etc, i live one of my best 4yrs of my life there, happy to be part of it. Sona moved cuz the city wanted the building to build a OSM house for Charles Dutoit, but he quit the OSM so nothing was made of it and supposely they're going to make condos out of it but nothing is for sure....
