I'll concede pizza to nyc anyway :D

yeah boston's not like new york. u can't try any pizza and expect it to be decent. most of it is total bready crap. a few places are good. keep ernesto's, the upper crust, or regina's (north end only) in mind if you want GOOD pizza.

The European in the North End had the best pizza I've ever had in Boston but it closed a few years ago :(

combination of no 5htp, faced from 2:30AM till 6AM, and not much sleep, plus not great pizza im guessing lead me to not liking it lol

then again i was just filling the need for nutrients at that point lol

LOL people in Boston just want a reason to get drunk & cause problems...

All because of the riots that were on Northeastern campus when the Pats first won the super bowl in 2002. Ever since that, every chance college kids had a chance they would go drunk into the streets trying to flip over cars. And almost everytime that happened someone got killed.

And no one really even cares what team won, as long as they can do that...

& rise is a prety crappy excuse for a club... Maybe they will realize if they had a decent afterhours place that it would attract more decent people & djs... But probably not.

Rise was runner up for best afterhours...Pretty crappy ;)

I guess Chris Fortier, Luke Fair, Paolo Mojo, Seb Fontaine, Christopher Lawrence, Roger Sanchez, Danny Tenaglia, Sean Cusick, Max Graham, Deep Dish, Danny Howells, Steve Porter are pretty crappy for djs that have spun there :conf:

I wouldn't care if it was first...

The club is in the shape of an L

The lighting sucks
The sound absolutely sucks

The only good thing about rise is sitting on the couches in the lounge area.

porter is a resident, but how many of them were back after they played?

BTW. Sorry to interject, but... did you know that in LA (that's right, LA), all clubs and bars must also stop serving alcohol by 2? I just found this out.

Incredible. The US is really behind the times.

In some godforsaken village somewhere in Holland or Estonia or Bulgaria, clubs stay open and serve alcohol till 5-6 and there are no restrictions on alcohol to speak of.

Luke Fair has been back several times and is coming back June 23rd and Fortier is coming back in the summer.

Paolo Mojo has played there twice and is probably coming back soon for his balance tour. Chus and Ceballos are there Friday and frequent there. Low End Specialists are always there and DFuse is a quarterly resident. The other big names would be back more frequently but their booking fees are usually high and rise isn't that big.

Gabriel and Dresden are there next Friday...

Not to mention theres an om monthly party there....

That has nothing to do with how good rise is...

Yes it does. You said they dont attract good djs which is incorrect.

Rise attracts good djs...has a good vibe which matters most....The sound is decent for the room size and the lighting is pretty good. It's not for posers :D
