Ok, so Im planning on gutting my bedroom and getting all new furniture. Other than Ikea, what are some other places to get some bedroom furniture.
As far as a bed is concerned, I think I might get this bed from Ikea...
Its clean, simple, and a medium shade of brown that I like. |

They are made out of cheap wood and are very fragile.
If you want some quality stuff go to Crate and Barrel. |

Obviously I can't see the underside of that bed Vlad, but it seems to me that it could easily break if "abused" a lot. Just the way that the joints are and how thin, but high the "legs" are. If there's steel or something more supportive underneath that I can't see, it might not be a problem, but from this angle, I'd expect it to break within a few years at most.
I've been thinking of getting a better wood frame as well, but I'd like one with some storage underneath and any that I've seen and liked, I'd have to save up for. |

Was just about to say...
IKEA has some real expensive stuff for the cheap quality wood they use. I remember looking for a bed for my brother and he sat on it and I looked underneath and the beams looked like they were about to snap! He is only 150lbs. A lot of their suff is like that, not to mention its all made for short people! |

Raymor & Flannigan actually have some pretty good quality stuff for good prices.
Some of their stuff is crap, some is good.
I looked at one bedroom set there for $2100 total but it was not good quality.
The one I am going to buy from there was about $3k but it was very good quality.
Look for dovetail joints any time you buy something with drawers (dressers, nightstands, etc). |

I found a nice bed from C&B but it is a bit pricey at $1400, and the matching night stand is $600. I dont want to spend more than like $1000 on a bed and nightstand. There is another one that is cheaper, but Id have to see it for myself cause on the site it looks almost black and I dont want anything that dark.
I looked on Raymours site, but they really dont have anything that I like, too fancy or the beds are either too short or way too long. |

| If you ever get around to NJ, theres a place called MSO on route 46 in the Clifton area. It has really good furniture and is more of an outlet. Definately check it out for some good buys and quality products. I got my bedroom set from there.. Cherry.. for a very decent price, delivery and all.. |

Obviously, Im thinking around $500-700 on the bed. Another thing is getting a new mattress, the one I have is a twin, Im either gonna get a Full or Queen - probably a full cause the queen beds are too long. |
