Exactly. It is nice that people tend to be friendlier here -- the general demeanor of the North is much more icy and cynical than Southern hospitality -- but that friendliness can sometimes seem so naive and shallow given the ignorance that persists everywhere.
I'm fleeing for Vancouver the first chance I get. |
