I am now growing much more fond of House and its various sub-forms (tech-house for instance) and have started getting a little bit bored of trance...:nervous:...its cause i keep listenin to djs drop way too many of the same tracks in their weekly shows (as well as their livesets) so i get sick of the track too fast, and i also get tired of hearin the same tune, even if the tunes built around them are different and the transitions are unique...

dunno what it is, but house has become a lot more enjoyable just cause i cant predict it as well and some of the tracks just get me movin' in ways that trance cant..zabiela blew me away when i saw him live, as did sasha and diggers...been listenin to lots of King unique and just got PWNED all day today by the Angello/Ingrosso EM from 2005...:eyes:  :eyespop:

so how many others out there started with trance but now have just as much, if not more love for house? :D

I've been listening to trance for 5 years and I am still in love as I first listend to it. Your problem is that you NEVER been a trance fan at first place, remember you gotto listen to trance with your mind! ^_^

On the other side I like house music alot too, but thats only when I want to chill out and ofcours in night clubs...gets you in good mood really :-).

p.s STOP listening to EVERY weekly radio show.

just my 2 pence... only got 1 pence. oh well :)

The current form of Trance is "Dutch POP Trance". The original Trance had much more elements of House and Techno and was much more versatile. Listen to very recent Paul van Dyk sets, he did not change his music style over all the years, he plays everything, Trance, Techno, House and even Indie. Last year he became a WMC award for the best house track. That was not by chance.

Please do not restrict yourself to a small fraction of trance, Trance is much more versatile.

Can I ask you how? Im genuinly interested, cuz for me (and many others) I use to love trance, but then I realized that stuff that came/come out lack creativity, originality and just use the same formulas and synths. Now I've stopped following the trance scene, but from what Ive read and hard it only gotten wrose. So how do you keep yourself intrested in something that seems to lack evolution? If you could list some new tracks that keep you grooving these days...

Well 90% of the music I listen to is not Trance (mostly Progressive House). I only listen to a new Trance set like every 2 months since most trance djs play pretty much the same thing. But i do listen to oakey from 99 frequently. I guess it's the normal progression most people that are open minded and love music go through.

sets every two months!?! fyi never said that, get your facts straight...and what im lying cuz god forbid i think most of todays trance sucks!?! But please prove me wrong, cuz i'm eager for you to prove that all trance thats listed in djdownload, beatport, audiojelly, 3beatdigital etc is infact original and doesnt use the same damn formulas cuz unless me ears are damaged (and i think they might be if i continue listeing to these samples) there is absolutely nothing interesting with them.
