Nik, I can tell you stories for hours about my family...very typical Sicilian upbringing.
My parent are in their late seventies now, so they still have a killer backayarda.

Ohh the backyards.. my favourite sight was coming to my Nonnas house and going into the backyard in the summer and EVERYDAY my Nonno was sitting under the patio umbrella.. drinking Ginger Ale.. from the can.. with the tab sticking STRAIGHT UP... did ANY other Italians see this while growing up or was it just my family?!
As for the North and South business...
