Last night was about what I expected so I had a pretty good time.
As soon as I got in I immediately noticed right away that the crowd was a bit sketchy. Where did all the nice looking people go? All I saw were crackheads that were already f'd up by midnight. It seemed nobody wanted to chillax. I saw a girl so messed up, she was sucking her own thumb - that's something you don't see everyday! :p
It was way too crowded for way too long. Even at 3 AM, it didn't really die down that much. I didn't even bother venturing out somewhere else cause it took me almost 20 min to walk from the front of the dancefloor to the guys washroom! Getting to the Acid Lounge at 12:30 was a pain...
It was nice to meet a few of you (I wish it wasn't so crowded in there) --> ArcticBoy, Cloud9, Sarcoman, and TranceArmada. Have you listened to that CD you bought TranceArmada? Is it any good? ;)
liquidchik & Malice: It was cool to chill with you in the morning for a bit and hear the sounds of the Clark Brothers. :) I guess you guys made it home alright..

Since the people really sucked and crowed was horrible. I think the set was crappy, but then again I'm spoiled by this web site. I mean being able to get all the latest sets by the different DJ's. After listening to them 50 times each you kind of get to really know the songs. So it seemed like Ferry really played for that crowed, the gino crowed. It would have been ok if Girls actually came out and if I had room to dance.
Anyway, did anyone see the DJ supergreg in the crowed. He looks like he's from Bulgaria has black hair, he had a mustache and a unabrow. That guy just looked so funny if you know DJ supergrep. |

From the sound of this, I'm so glad that I missed it. I've had my fair share of days at the Guv where there's not enough room to breathe nevermind dance. They pack you in like sardines. You just knew that was going to happen when they have Ferry headlining and they didn't open up kool haus.
As for the rudeness of the crowd. I guess it was much expected, seeing how poorly the Guv organized the event. I can imagine there were a lot of pissed off people considering the circumstances. |

| hmmm ok just a quick comment about the Asian problem...lol...i think that all the drugs that are run in Guvernment are mainly done by asians, i know that a couple white kids sell too, but that is on a small scale. Most of the club dealers are asian kids that's probably why u find so many mashed up asians there. Honestly though what do you expect ? To go into a dance club and not find people on drugs ? LOL I've heard all the yack about it being about the music and not the drugs but lets face it, whereever you have dance music (trance,house,techno) you are going to find a certain portion of people on drugs...you just have to bear with it, or listen to the music in your rooms where you won't have to deal with it. Personally i don't have a problem with some asian guy who are mashed up or some guido who wants to show his 'adonis' like body to everyone...as long as they don't around with me that is....honestly having partyed in other clubs i find the crowds in Toronto to be a lot better, at least you don't see fights breaking out here or people carrying knifes and waiting to jack you outside. |

Well I'm finally awake enough to post.:D I still have major ringing in my ears and its 8 pm.
I thought the party was really amazing, Ferry's set was much much more than I hoped for.
Most of the trax he played are among my all time favourites thus making his set one of my all time favourites.
Everyboby's complaining about the crowd. To be honest I was enjoying the music so much that the crowd did't bother me one bit. I mean when your with a group of friends all night, then why should other ppl in the crowd matter? Either way you cant have it all.
I met alot of TA's. I'm not even going to begin naming all of you but you know who you are.
Hey KayTracid, did I take your glowstix? Cant remmember but if so I'm sorry man I was just too out of it. |

HAHA It's all good bro...you and your bro ever so good with those light shows that I didn't feel like asking for them ;) Besides i had to leave early that nite so i wouldn't have needed them anyway. At least you had the chance to 'light' up a few more people with your moves ;)
Anyway....Ferry is history, now it's on to Quivver and Tilt...then Armin...then Marco V...then PVD...then...phew...this year is going to be the BOMB !!! All I gotta say is : Toronto Rulez !!! :) |

Overall I have to say I had a great night, but only because of the good music and good friends that made the night memorable. It's been said a million times already, but the place was way, way, way too packed. No joke, it took half an hour just to get to the washroom. And the bouncers kept closing the guys washroom which made the situation 100x worse. But Ferry played a great set, track selection was top notch, although there wasn't really too much of a flow to his set overall. Still, he won my respect for coming on early in the night and coming back on after his set was done. Have to admit that Oliver also played a nice set as well.
Hopefully it won't be as packed for Scott Bond, but I'm seriously scared to see how packed it will be for AVB in April.
It was great meeting some of the T.A.'s, but once again I can't remember any names though thanks to the spliff I smoked right before :D

I agree but I really hate tripping over those people who sit on the floor. Last year at Bittersweet, I must have tripped over atleast 10 people! Oh, and I have a question, what's the deal with people who bring garbage bags to parties? Has anyone ever noticed that? Are those people who are too cheap to get coat check? |

I used to see it all the time. I remember once at the AutoMotive building in 1999 I was walking blindly and just totally dropped on a whole bunch of floor dwellers....lol..oh man.. hilarious. |
