Groundhog why are you talking a bunch of nonsense to a person who has his mind set on an opinion? you're backing up your opinino with no stats, or research or anything. and yes if we allow gay marriage it'll be blown up even more than it is now. perhaps some people wouldn't want to see a greenwhich village in every little suburban town? ever think about that? you and other liberals talk about respecting people and all that BULL yet you can't respect people who have MORALS. pathetic.

Everyone's entitled to opinions. Unfortunately, some opinions are simply ignorant. I have a problem with people who base their MORALS on something so pathetic as sexual orientation, which as I said before, has always been a part of human history and is present in MANY non-human species. If you'd like a list, I'll go make one up for you to give you some research.

There are no real stats or research on societies of homosexuals. I mean, what would you really like to hear, as I'm not too aware of any studies that concretely prove my point, but maybe I can give you something in the right direction. I think that using the examples of Greece and Rome shows that it's not the downfall of the world, though you'll probably respond by pointing out that they're not the world powers now that they were thousands of years ago. I'll just pre-empitively and say that there's a few factors more significant than gays that led to their downfall.

Regarding Greenwich Village, don't you think that gay havens like that exist mostly because of homophobia. Gays can't make it so well in a lot of areas of this country, so they're given the option of repressing their natural desires or moving to an area where it's more acceptable.

Also, before you start rambling about how I'm so liberal, maybe you'd like some history on me. I grew up in a Western PA town where most people, including myself at the time, had similar views to you guys. I just hope they get out and about in the real world after they leave high school and realize that life isn't the same everywhere as their little isolated backgrounds taught them. Sometimes, you adapt your values based on increased world exposure. I still agree with some conservative values and consider myself more a libertarian than the traditional liberal Democrat.

P.S. Diggerz - The fact that you want your future wife to be a human incubator and have 10 children disgusts me.

lol

anyways, some really upsetting and retarted things have been said in this thread, from very close minded people. I didnt know anyone who was gay personally until about a year ago when i met my girlfriend. All of her male friends happen to be gay and i must say theyre some of the coolest most succesfull people ive hung out with. They all have badass jobs and everything else that comes with having a badass job. I always have a good time when we hang out with any of them.

most of the idiots here running their mouths with their homophobic comments need to get a ing clue first. People who are homophobic are probaby so insecure about their own sexuality in the first place.
