So many thanks to Lunchy to post the whole list. That corrects all those rumours about "quality"...

I haven't forgot anything, post your suggestions and I will add them to the 1st post.

I have nothing against it. just point out the floats which are worth to vote for, but if you post the complete list it's a bit complex and most of the line-ups there are far away from what tranceaddicts would vote for I guess..

you havent been reading the MD for long enough (if at all) if you think trance is the only genre people care about here.

Sadly, while the floats up for the vote have something for nearly everyone musically, Mikey is right. This voting process will only further commercialize the parade and bring it even further away from what it was originally about. No wonder that the originators got the out while they could.

Awkward wording on my part, lemme rephrase, as now it makes me look like I'm a hardcore idealist LP veteran who's dismayed, which isn't the case.

With the current setup and voting process, LP basically risks to throw out all the people and the motivations that started the whole thing in the first place. Close to a million strong crowd of posers/attention whores/trend sheep to decide the musical program, Motte out of the picture, sponsors throwing themselves over the Parade like vultures etc. etc. I think you can see where I'm going.

No, it's always been like that really... it's just that now it's obvious and back then it wasn't. I really don't want to argue with you over this since I am younger than you, I don't have the kind of partying experience you probably do, but I will say that if you think the love parade never had the same amount of posers, same amount of advertisement (all the BS basically) then you're disillusioned.

Every TA that goes to any club to see a DJ for the specfic reason of seeing him/her plays his/her set is a minority since the large majority will not even know who the DJ is (even if it's PVD or Oakie or Deep Dish or whoever). Loveparade is no different just on a much, much larger scale.

I hate to break it to you, but the Loveparade was never planned to be a massive global bash with people wanting to show off to the cameras from all over the globe and sponsors/ads all over the floats. It went into this commercialized downward spiral as electronic music in general did. Go google "parade" and see what you find.

You're right, they're not there for the DJs playing. They're there cos they read in a magazine how cool it is there. And that is exactly the problem.

remind me now why do we have to vote for the floats? Cant just all the floats be out for the love parade?
