I think a lot of people here are under the impression all the slots are decided by votes.
Only 1/2 of the floats are decided by the voting process, the other half decided on by the organising comittee.
So it will have a mixture of styles, it will have variety, and it won't be doom and gloom as you predict. |

one reason: about 30-50.000 euro (about 60.000 US$) for a "good" float.
show me ONE party that´s been made just to get in costs... apart from small independent goa/psy parties with 50ppl attendence and private owned PA.
ok, I´m out of this discussion - it leads again to general "in the earlier days everything and the e was better", "i´m longer in the scene than you" and "real techno is underground" and all that stuff. |

That`s strange because really a lot of EDM genres are represented there, at least all that you dance to on a parade, which is why progressive or other "slower" genres are rather rare. |
