I wasn't aware of the FFVII remake. Don't know what Valkyrie Profile is. I was hoping for a FF RPG on this system. :) Ys The Ark of Napishtim is a very decent action PRG made by Konami. Picked that one up for $30 and it's enjoyable. Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex is a first person shooter, which I nabbed for only $20. Controls are a bit sketchy, but another good game. The system is still young. |

Wrong on both counts. System value package: $250. CORE package: $200.
Games: VARIABLE pricing. From $20 - $50.

it's not a remake, it's a completely new story.. i can't find the link though. i'll have to check out those other titles you mentioned. don't upgrade to the newest firmware though, you can't use homebrew (i guess v2.70 just came out recently) |

How do you play the newer games without upgrading the firmware? I did upgrade and now my homebrew's screwed. :( I'm on 2.50 now. |

with 2.5, you should still be able to use the GTA fix like i mentioned above. don't upgrade past 2.6 though. 2.7 just came out recently with flash support, but i don't think it's worth getting rid of the homebrew for that. |

Final Fantasy VII: Crisis Core is the one coming out for PSP. The main character seems to be Zack. ;)
In other news... WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFF?!?1 You don't know about Valkyrie Profile? It's in the top 3 of my favorite RPGs ever. I'm lucky I have a PS1 copy of the original game. Bought it the first day it was released. ENIX FTW!!! |

Dude, I tried to play Ys when I still had firmware version 2.0 and the system told me I couldn't play it without upgrading, so how do I get around that?

Zack...I remember him! The guy with black hair, the one whom Cloud got his Buster swords from...
And no dude. Don't know Valkryie Profile. If it's along the lines of FF then I'll defintely pick it up. |

i hear you on that. enix made some great games back in teh snes days.. star ocean, ToP, terranigma. now there's that motherin monopolizing square enix nonsense going on. whatever happened to competition? |
