Money is always a touchy subject....especially amongst frriends. I only lend money to friends with the expectation that I'm not going to see the money again....that way it isn't something that weighs on me. If I get the money back then great.

From what you say it sounds like she is a little
so maybe she will come to her senses and will realize what she is doing wrong....besides...how could anyone stay mad at you Graham :D

it could take a week, it could take a year, it could take 10 years.

true colours of people are arbitrary. they change. not necessarily always there.

i have been burned by many "friends". i am the expert.

Meh, I don't even want the money, or her friendship back anymore. Considering the way she has treated me, she can go to hell. :D

Yes, she did explain why. There is a long background story, but basically what happened was, there was a fight (unrelated to money) that transpired between us on the weekend that we went away. Because I "ruined her weekend", she has chosen to terminate the friendship and to refuse to pay me the money that I owe her.

Since the trip ended, I have realized that she is crazy, so trying to make sense out of the situation may be futile.

I am sorry to hear this, hon.

Money is always a point of contention in any relationship - it can ruin things or be used as a very painful knife to inflict pain on someone.

At least it wasn't $500 or more - $150 can be recouped.

very small price to pay for a very large lesson to learn, consider yourself lucky.

lol, totally. Someone can have a bad day, those negative characteristics aren't necessarily his/her true colors coming to light? But rather said person out of the true colors you quite readily did perceive.

Not only that, but your ability (or inability rather) to perceive someone's true nature would put you in the realm of making a mistake, not the other person being psycho.

i never lend money out except to people ive known for years (meaning decades).

some people call it cheap but i call it avoiding problems.

When it comes to covering someone's meal or something like that, if it's a friend i will do that and not expect it back. But there also comes a point when even that can become a one way street.

You just have to walk a fine line between being nice and not getting taken advantage of.

hahah perhaps but ive been there and experienced it.... and gotten screwed over.

Another thing you never do. NEVER plan vacations with anyone but yourself. Plan to go away and be pleasently suprised if people come with you. People are the best at giving last minute excuses when it comes time to buy the ticket.
