Alitalia FTW! |
and to extend on that further, i'll just tell you about what it was like when i flew home from Greece...
the Alitalia flight from Italy to NY was fine, but i was crammed into a window seat and couldn't sleep, and i was runnin on like 3 hours of sleep from the night before. so whatever, the flight itself was great but i was still pretty frustrated...
once i get back to NY i still had another flight from NY to Chicago, and that one was on American Airlines.
so we board the plane, this tiny little thing with 2 seats together and then 1 seat across the aisle... probably like 20-30 seats total. it's hot as hell on the aircraft (this is in NY, in February... it shouldn't be hot) and the air smells and feels like it hasn't been circulated in like 5 days. the flight attendant was this trashy looking older lady who wobbled her fat ass up and down the aisle and had absolutely no professional conduct whatsoever... she sat there on the phone for 20 minutes trying to figure out how to "arrange" the passengers so that this fat redneck dude could sit next to his wife instead of in one of the single seats, which he couldn't fit his ass into, lol.
i just sat there with my head in my hands... my facial expression was probably resemblant to the emoticon in UWM's avatar.
now, anyone who has traveled to Europe knows that it's kind of a bummer to come back into the states... the culture shock was kind of rough for me and i started noticing and realizing things that i never paid attention to before. so coming back from an amazing vacation in Greece and having to sit on that plane was one of the worst flying experiences i've ever had... and on top of that, once we finally took off the entire plane was just rattling and making noises that sounded very abnormal. i was just dying to get back to Chicago and land safely and go home. |

eek..
i always rode a 757 or 767 so my planes weren't that tiny. The seats do suck but it's the fact that on my way back from San Fran *where i had ZERO sleep from the party the night before* it was good to land about 30 mins earlier than expected. |

bzzzzzt! im sorry, but thats the wrong answer! thankyou for playing.
that fact i disagree with you is completely irrelevant. i call you an idiot because your PDD posts are uninteresting, unintelligent, and not the least bit thought-provoking. there are plenty of people in there i disagree with that i would never call an idiot. |

dude i've been in some scary tiny lil planes... when i was a kid and i'd travel with my mom and brother, my mom would always look for the "bargain" flights; meaning ty airlines, crappy planes, never a direct flight, etc... lol, it was bad. i remember having to take this one plane to Santa Barbara (i forget where we left from, somewhere in CA) and it was this tiny lil prop plane that seated like 12 people. riding through turbulents in those things is ed up!
i was maybe 7 years old and i thought my life was over. :nervous: |

I've only flown American Airlines. I liked it, except they wouldn't let me take my dickpump as carry-on.

my brother has a pilots license and a couple of years ago we had a cousins wedding out in the country. Rather than drive down we decided to fly down, 3 of us (his wife) in a little Piper Chieftan (4 seats including the pilot). Was wicked fun. Had a bit of turbulence but wasn't too bad.
The bride and groom even came out the next day to see us off from the airfield, people continuously asking us about the flight down etc:p . The flight back was a bit average cos I was pretty hungover though:nervous:
little planes rock. |

yeah, it's kind of like America's "United". at least, both time i've flown w/ Lufthansa to Germany, they said they were partners w/ United or something like that.

sometimes it's really worth the extra cash just to travel non-stop.
i mean really.. the longest flight i had to deal with was going to Cali and it's long cuz ur going against the jet stream or w/e.. omg.. if we would have had to make a stop, that would have just killed it.
edit - TEAR - all this talk about Germany and stuff.. gosh i really need to save money to try and go next summer!
I MUSTTTTTTTTTTTT:mad: |
