TA producer/DJ meet up

Hey whats up?
There have been met ups in the past.. I think we should rock another one.
For some of you in the DC area, we should set up a club gig or something.
How do you perform? Turntbales or Computers?
I use Ableton and external gear and I am very interested to meet fellow TA's who use programs or records to perform live.
This is a very genereal idea, but it would be cool to brew a party or something.

Yeah.. I mean, a train ride is roughly $90 from DC to NYC. i would be down to go up there, espiaclly if it was a club situation or a big party.
If we managed to just have a meet up.. maybe more of a central location.. |

| I heard club standard on varick @ vandam has twilo's old sound system (arc, shelter).. But i think to get a venue intersted they have to know that someway there going to making money .. |

| well even though Im young me & my mates back when I was living in Manchester, UK we put on our own club nights there. They also tought us how to do that in the school I went to there. So I could do that stuff easily |

theres this small 200 cap. place downtown called ALIBI... thats always an option :) |

sounds good just gotta see what they got available. but they told us in class think big first cuz you never know what might come up. Know Crobar is pretty much outta the question for a sat night.
I have some friends at Pacha who could give us the basement room but going under the tranceaddict alias wouldnt work plus you guys are more trance im guessing.
Cielo is out cuz thats pretty housey too. Same for Bed so maybe Spirit or Avalon for starters. Then we can work our way down? |
