Review: Tiga @ SAT

OMG The TAs.
Preparty at Piett's place was fun, as usual, lots of TAs there, not gonna name em all.
Chilling at Stereohead's place with Tag, Jester, Caela, Azia, and Stereohead was cool too.
The opening DJ for Tiga... (Thomas Von Party?) Was incredible, his mixing was excellent and his track selection was pure bad ass electro.
Tiga was predictable, he more or less played his latest essential mix + a few of his old school productions IE: His rework of Nelly - It's getting hot in here, pleasure from the bass, you're gonna want me, blah blah blah. The upside of him being uncreative was that he played The Knife - Silent Shout which made me orgasm on the spot, aswell as a remix of funkytown and "whatever".
The vibe was however incredible, first time at SAT and I love Neon sure knows how to throw a in BASH. The screens everywhere was such a sick addition to the atmosphere, the dancefloor was massive, plenty of place to sit/chill out and the drinks I guess werent THAT expensive. The booth is set up very nicely, you can stand about 2 feet from it if you want to, and the place has that typical rave/afterhours feel to it with a very responsive and electro starved crowd :D :D :D
Overall was a really sick night, special mentions to:
Tag for showing up.
Bertuzz for being the biggest bafoon ever.
Jester for being Jester.
Sean Walsh for stickin with me on the dancefloor.
Enjoy + Marcus, oh wait you didnt show up, you're both turkeys.
Stereohead for being her usual super nice and energetic self.
Courtney for well I dunno really, being super nice and in party mode :) Wtf was that you were putting on your legs anyway? :p
Azia, omg, sorry you lost your jacket and thanks much for the hair-styling :p:p Send me a pm, you're the only one who's MSN I dont have :(:(

we had a lot of fun....other than it being so packed w hot sweaty people, giving u room to do the stand-in-place march the whole time.
tiga played some sick tracks though...anyway bla bla, i'm too ed to right a review...just got out of aria

Let's put it this way: I'm glad I have next week off =P
Sick day followed by sick night. I've had so much ing fun over the past 36 hours, love all of you guys and girls. Met and chilled with a lot of you so won't bother listing off names.
For some reason up until yesterday I thought Tiga played a bunch of electroclash cheese ; I had no idea he rocked so ing badly. Man, I love those electro basslines, had me going nuts all night. 5 dollars Carlsberg was a very nice surprise as well, though probably not necessary based on the copious amounts of beer I drank before showing up. Vibe was incredible; the place was huge and full, but as Alex mentioned there was enough room to dance and chillax if you wanted to (at the back anyways, the front of the dancefloor was a gongshow). I made it as far as the Aria line up after the show, at which point I decided it would be in my best interest to go home and sleep. Pretty sure I'm still drunk right now, so feeling great

It's been probably 3 years since I last went to SAT, better sound system now. Amazing night, great to party with court, erika, shara, alex, jesse, got to meet sean and OMG bertezz is such a nutter wow.
Also ARIA is the worst club ever, I will never ever go there again. I believe jesse and alex would agree with me on that. Sorry creator, i tried to go, but halfway through the line I just couldnt handle standing beside g thugs and prostitutes, and the absolute scum of montreal society. So after waiting too long, court, jesse and I walked out of the line. Creator, I hope to see you spin somewhere else soon, you know how much i love your music. But I will never go to aria ever again.
And ya wow, bertezz what a nut, chanting 'elfy' on the steps at SAT. ftw |
