His mixing skills suck. His track selection is satisfactory. I think we have a justified reason for saying that he's a horrible DJ. The only thing he has going for him is:
1) That #1 DJ in the world tag to his name,
2) His advertising and promotional team and
3) The somewhat warm connection he makes with the audience during events.

ayayai.. when will u n00bs quit regarding that poll as if it was the bible?! if all ur friends told you to walk off a bridge with them would you? you people really need to look into things further, so allow me the displeasure of assisting:
trance is, more than anything, a GATEWAY edm genre. in other words, i would safely say that at least 75% of the people that begin to listen to EDM first start off with trance and THEN miraculously discover othe genres after, usually, professing they will continue to love trance until they day they die. however, 95% of the time, trance lovers usually become general EDM lovers- lovers of many EDM genres, notwithstanding but perhaps still including, trance. (the time in between how long they are a trance lover to when they begin to explore other genres is a variable, of course.)
as a result, people vote constantly for big trance djs (trance djs have always won number 1 in those UTTERLY ASININE polls) because the number of people/n00bs listening to trance and actually giving 2 petty s about voting for a vacuous poll is way higher than people who listen to, say, detroit techno. |
