I was reading in an interview posted on TA not too long ago, and Tiesto described himself as a risky mixer. Meaning that he mixes a few bars before the outro to a track. But moreso than at a normal point. I won't lie to you though. He's the only DJ I see play around with the EQs on a mixer like that. It's pretty neat :) |

i agree with you.
I am not a TIESTO fan and it was an obzervation for me to be there. I will not go to any of his shows again unless he does a summerstage.

lol, hilarious. bc actually i've been clubbing all over ibiza (as well as mainland spain), italy, germany, switzerland, norway, sweden, not including miami/nyc/toronto. so don't pull the "been there, done that" card with me cuz i'm SURE i'm on your level if not way beyond. and guess what? you really hit the nail on the head when you said he is an entertainer... britney spears is also an entertainer, does that mean she's talented... why does she fill stadiums and sell millions of albums? :conf: something to think about....plus, you need to go back and read my post about trance being a gateway genre.

I read the interview as well but it didn't really change my opinion of him. I didn't pay to hear a trainwreck. I want to keep dancing to a steady beat. I wanna get lost in the music. If the mixing isn't there, it's no good. For me, at least.
Being risky is good when you're in your bedroom not when you're performing for a packed house of people that paid WAY too much to attend the event.

Just to let you know, I love his '99 and '00 sets. His track selection was prime back then. He's just gone downhill, is all.
Otherwise, his productions are pretty good for trance, in my opinion.
Not a big fan of Nyana, though. |

DUDE LETS BE SERIOUS lol just playin come on can u serious sit here and tell me Tiesto is not a Great DJ/ Producer he's has blessed trance music and emd with some of the most epic sets of its time what im tryin to say when millions or thousands of people vote for the man not sure how that works.. people who im sure have somewhat of a clue of emd music it says something it seriously does but like u said its a forum and we all have opinions but im just tryin to say that 25,000 poeple dont show up pack a soccer stadium if he's not great at what he does.. |

He's not a pop star he's a dj i would go see Britney Spears so i can star at her pretty lil ass the whole time she has sex apeal sex sells!! marketing 101 ..Tiesto isnt ecactly God's gift to women..he spins records and obiviously does a pretty dam good job doing it because people still wanna hear him do it without the sex appeal |

when pvd spun at the GP last summer some of TA didn't like his performance. According to some TAs he was musically sounded. Of course its very hard to expect same performance all time but no one said. "pvd sucks"
As a result..

I went to the Summerstage in '03 and last year. Both years sucked an egg.
