not bad, certainly have a lot of guts to post this tho. civics arent a loved car on these boards...youll find out. i think civics are aiight tho. yours is a hell of a lot lower than i would like tho - all the suspension upgrades in the world dont mean if your geometry is ed up. it looks like you did a good job on everything tho...wheres the new engine? as you can tell im more of a go than show car person. it could look totally beater and thats almost better if its fast or handly. i fully respect the time, money and work that goes into body/interior customization - especially as far as youve taken it. good job... late/

My suspension is PERFECT....my car may not be that fast...but one thing is for sure...IT HANDLES LIKE ITS ON RAILS.....when you drive to my house up in Connecticut and take this parkway called the Merrit it gets VERY windy in the woods with only 2 lanes...so one time i was playing with this Porshe....he kept taking off on me...but then i knew this one turn was coming up that is VERY dangerous and i decided to test my cars limits and the Porshes...

SOOOOOOOOOOO....we where about a 1/4 mile away from the turn...that i swear to God banks its so tight.....there are sign saying slow speed to 45 for this turn and most cars have to.....but the Porsche knew i wanted to play...so he opened up and got in front...then i see his brake lights on when he approached the curve...thats when i floored it....i FLEW by him on the left side going into the left turn curve...so i was on the inside of him....so that means i was taking the curve shraper then him and he was still braking...i took that curve at ahbout 90 while he slowed to about 70......

and it was nothing to me.....when he got back upo to me after the curve he gave me a thumbs up.....so in conclusion if my little civic with my suspension upgrades can out handle one of the BEST handling cars in the world at high speeds then i think i am doing jus fine.....

Thats the one thing i pride my car on...is its suspension.....i spent a lot of time buying new stuff and changing things around to get it perfect....and it is.....

me what a ride i would love 2 cruse around it dat beast the beastiest car is mutsubishi lancer evo 7 me what a beast got no pics (dam it):whip::whip: :eyes: :eyes:
DJ-Ande
& how much did it cost ( i wan't 1)
tiesto14
Well i wasted alot of money on the car...because i changed things around with suspension so many times....but if i had to take a guess on what i have NOW as far as suspension upgrades...

i would probally say around around $9,000 on the suspension not including the tires
ABTsportsline
Hey man,
as i've told you before, nice! :eyes: :eyes:

But one question keeps haunting me...... If you spent so much damn money on that thing, why didn't you just buy a nicer car in the first place? (i.e. Acura CL, Audi A4, BMW, etc....) Especially if you spent $9,000 on the suspension... I have H&R coilovers and Neuspeed strut & sway bars and i didn't even spend 1/4 that amount.... where did you purchase your stuff from!!???

And FYI the lower the car is doesn't mean it handles better... in all actuality best handling characteristics are achieved when the control-arms are parallel to the ground.... not at a 15-degree or more angle. This means that a car should have a little bit of gap left there between the tire and the wheel well... The touring cars use modified chassis and body panels... in real life they are not "tucking", but rather the wheel arches are built "lower" than stock to create the illusion... Not to mention all the roll-cage cross-members in the gutted-out interiors of the race-cars... that add to torsional rigidity. they also utilize camber tricks, which would be impractical for the street and also eat up your tires... you'd be going to Discount Tire Direct every month or so!

... anyway i'm ramblin. Nice car though.... :)

to ABT....yea i get taht alot...well basically its cus i bought the car and kept it stock for awhile...because i had no money...thats why i bought a Honda in the first place....BUUUUUTTTT then i got a good job and started to make good money so thats when i started playing with it....

My suspension cost $9,000 because
look
H&R Coilovers with height and dampening ...i got these when they first came out...and they where expensive EVERYWHERE...like $3,400
Suspension Techniques Drop Forks ...these cost about $600
Suspension Techniques Proarms ...these cost about $600
DC Sports Rear Lower Tie Bar ...this is $200
Neuspeed Upper Front Tie Bar ...this is $70
Neuspeed Rear Upper Tie bar ....this si $150
Suspension Techniques Sway Bars ....this is $600
Suspension Techniques Polyurethane Bushing Set ...i had these custom made so they cost me $700 because ST wasnt making them at the time....

so its a less the 9,000 but i said almost...i just guessed....

that is true jus cus a car is low doesnt mean it handles good...but also remember the lower the center of gravity your car is the MORE it CAN help the handling...my car is set perfectley for me...i played with the suspension so much its crazy....it took me about a year just to get the car to sit low and handle perfect...because like u said being so low it can cause problems....but thats what camber kits are for....so yes u are right to a degree...but like i said i adjusted each and every part of my suspension for it to perform the best it can....
ABTsportsline
700 bucks for PolyUr bushings???? geezus f-in christ!! that SUCKS!
Mine were 70 for the whole set... LoL. I got my H&R's for $1300 new a little over year ago.

Well, at least you are going in the correct direction - handling before speed. Visually the car is looking pretty good too.

Take care, and keep bangin' ;)

Hey Tiesto14,

How much u pay for ur brembo's? are they the 4 pots? BTW, nice ride! 9G's for ur suspension?! ouch! I only pay like 5Gs for full coilover suspension from TEIN and Cusco Strut and Sway bars. Anti-lift kit.
You made a good choice by investing in brakes. Anyone can go fast but can they stop? = )
tiesto14
yea i had to have Suspension Techniques custome make the bushing for me....so they basically had to invent them because they didnt even have one bushing at the time when i asked them....it tool 8 months for me to get them to make them and for them to deliver them....thats why it cost so much.////but it was well worth the money...

STi_WRX02....i had Tein in my car but i didnt like the ride...but some friend sof mine have them and love them.,,,

the brembos where cheap like 150 for a set ....
