Does NYTA need a 2nd mod?

Redeye seems busy these days so perhaps the NYTA section needs a second mod to keep all the hooligans in place? eg. last week when Marak trolled everyone about his sexual hooker experiences. I really don't need to see that stuff online. Especially on a music board.

wow, i just got up to speed with that whole story....
need a 2nd mod? we need a 1st mod...
i thought NYTA was able to do it w/o a mod, but it isnt working. my vote would go for nyce or dani, whoever wants to do it. |

Do you just want an active mod for the sake of having an active mod? I mean, in the past 30 days, there have been 2 locked threads, and one was self-locked by the threadstarter because he got the info he wanted. The other was the Marak thread, which I still don't see the reason for its closure. The original ones in the COR and Midwest are still open, which contained a lot more personal attack than ours did.
I see this mod being one who isn't really that necessary. I mean, what are they going to do, lock duplicate event roll call threads. |

personally i think NYTA lacks greatly. Maybe it's just me, but for such a big city and surrounding areas, i think an active mod should be less worried about locking threads and more about advocating/representing us. Think of it more as a politically correct leader who is on all sides, who hears all opinions, and doesn't exercise their power to prove their leadership.
yes we do a great job policing ourselves but the "house keeping" that we all ignore still happens here. So your telling me the dude who posted his mix "shouldn't" be moved to the correct area of the boards? (http://www.tranceaddict.com/forums/...threadid=345328) that's something an active mod would do and not necessarily lock his thread, just move it. It'd be lock if it already existed in the "Music Producers Promotion" and should not be worthy of being spammed across the boards.
I'd also like to see some form of organization of our local parties here. Yes we have a party planner (probably one of the best here) but I think we could do a better job organizing the promotion of our locals. Not for nothing but the CT multiple threads could have been merged into 1.
Simple as that, just some house cleaning instead of looking like a early 90s nyc subway train sprayed with graffitti! |
