I don't mind the USA giving a good performance, this might boost the popularity of football over there, which can only be a good thing I guess.
I don't see them getting very far though.. I'd say their team is on par with, say, Belgium. |

i totally agree, the mainstream tv media oversees it for....the IN NBA.

But something i've noticed is the promotion on major websites like espn, cnn, si sports. 4 years ago, the world cup never made the front page. Now here it is on the front page everyday. slowly :( but surely:( one day |

How embarassing was that defeat this morning to Czech Republic??
It can't get any worse than that! Well, I don't pay any attention to Team USA because of performances like that. The Czech's ripped our goalie apart!
And Ghana and Italia, what a game!!! Ball possession was almost equal for both teams, but it was Italia's piecring offense that killed Ghana. They literally had to fight for their 1st goal, and IMO the Ghana goalie, Kingston, was my favorite!!
Fantastic playing on both parts!! Best game I've seen so far! |

| As a diehard football fan this really sucks to watch the National Team look so piss poor, I could have lived with a 2-1, 1-0 defeat that showed some potential for the next match but they just looked dull, the worst team performance so far in the tournament and that is truly pathetic, nothing but hype. |
