Haha DJ happy you are one harcore Sona supporter and there is nothing wrong with that! But i'll tell you the only thing that is wrong with Sona (IMO) - they do not follow the law when it comes to building capacity. They overpack. If the firemarshall showed up on a given night, do you not think that they would flip out at the amount of people/lack of space inside, fine Sona (maybe even try to close them) and come back often? I almost called them in at Tiesto Feb 2002 because it was brutal but decided not to ruin it for the people that didn't have it ruined for them already by the amount of people. I've never seen anything like it. Total rip off. Hell i'll pay an extra 10$ so that 514 can make it's cash and i can have room to breathe.... You talk about finding corners, dude there are no free corners when a good out of town DJ is playing...
It's time for a larger venue or start cutting down on capacity. Until then i'm only hitting the special Thursday night gigs when everybody has to work the next day, that usually puts a dent in the crowd! |

Tiesto in Feb 2001 wasn't that packed, it was a pain in the ass to wait to get in for that night, 1 1/2 hrs at -20'c, but they were being really harsh, I watched them turn away plenty of hot women!!
Tiesto in Oct 2001, now that was beyond packed disgusting, if there would have been a fire, it would have been a huge traveisty, considering at one point there was a 20min wait just to get out of the main room to go downstairs. Completlley disgusting and unacceptable, but you know to expect it, so it's your choice to take the risk. |
