For this mix I definitely wanted to try something different as far as putting a set together, so for the first time I've incorporated the laptop into the setup alongside the CDJ's. I found that it really gave me a chance to focus a great deal on programming the set, and it was definitely a learning experience as I found some things I could do on CDJ's, I couldn't on the computer, and vice versa.

All in all this is the most proud of a set I've been in a long time, and I sincerely hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed putting it together.

This is pure astro funk for summer nights at the space disco, so throw this on, grab a drink (or some space drugs), chill out and enjoy the beats!

Cheers,

RJT

this is sounding good buddy, I have it blasting right now, I don't think my neighbors are too happy, lol.

I'm very glad to hear you're liking my mix enough to irritate your neighbors... :p

Seriously, thanks for checking it out guys, I'm really happy with the way everything panned out - A little bit of influence from all the realms of dance music came together to really give a solid picture of my experience with dance music.

i was really hoping you were going to make a "STEREO" or more appropriately, "CURED" mix or something [to contour your MONO mix...which was pretty slick].

no double album then?

damn :(

:D

DJ RJT
Lol @ TB... This is kind of "cured" mix I guess - It's definitely back to the funk and more upbeat than Mono. :)

For anyone coming to the BBQ tonight, I'll have some hard copies as well :)
Aristronica
honesty is best policy right?

i didn't like it... i mean it wasn't bad but i didn't like it - not your best work at all

i dunno if you were going experimental or something...

i mean the mixing was solid - no complaints in that department

but i didn't get into it until like track 3... then you lost me for a couple before a semi-strong finish.

i guess the track selection bothered me the most... just... boring! you know?

now i'm not trying to be mean, you know i respect you as a DJ and wish the best for you and the rest of us but to ME and in only MY OPINION this was somewhere around mediocre (however the you spell that)
