Ok ... perhaps the majority puts old musics because today do not have any classic as of before ... particularly I like the Hydroid tracks because I like very melodic and dreaming ... his tracks are classics to Me ... more the remaining portion nothing ... only some tracks but far away to consider classic when compared to old stuff ... forgot to mention Tiesto - Forever Today this is a classic tune for Me too ... when it is discussion the musics of today to much discord but when is said in old classics much people agree.

Aurora - I Can Hear You Calling
Armin Van Burren - Burned With Desire
Whiteroom - Whiteroom
Cordory - Sweetest Dreams (Maybe)
Delerium - Silence
Rank1 - Airwave

I'm also trying to avoid all of the 'classic' 'classics' from the late 1990's - you know the ones!!

yeah, the ones, like Airwave, Calling Your Name and Silence?

I think Voice of Cod - Just a Ride will last. Its a bit clinical and I can hear reFX Vanguard all over it...but the music, the bill hicks samples and the message fit together perfectly. And its not just a metaphor for a trip. I would certainly look back on it in 5 years time and say, yea that was one of the goodun's from 2005.

From 2004: Nexus 6 - Silicon Sound (Protoculture Remix) is going to last. IT has an auteur kind of quality to it and it has all of Protoculture's signiture sounds and THAT guitar...

OMG GENIUS!!! Seriously, some of you people need to learn to read.

Perhaps define in your little heads 'consider', 'classics' and 'past couple of years' before putting in your entirely irrelevant suggestions such as Saltwater/Age of Love/Cafe Del Mar.

A track that doesn't lift the MAJORITY OF THE CROWD could barely be considered a classic, could it?? It doesn't matter if the majority of the crowd didn't know what trance was when the track was made, it has to ignite something in them even the first time they hear it (I daresay the majority of you didn't hear Cafe Del Mar for the first time in 1993)

So, what tracks of today/past couple of years will still be getting dug out of crates or remixed in 2016 with a new audience also falling in love with them?

The answer may well be 'nothing' as good trance seems to be defined into:

a) the more subtle yet highly distinctive and original tracks (Age of Love, Cafe Del Mar) and;

b) the highly obvious tracks that do actually have exceptional vocals and/or melody that a crowd identifies from the first note (Silence, Airwave)

and trance now is cliche of formulaic synths or vocals creating disposable tracks that new generations may not identify with if those tracks are not getting shoved in their faces weekly (daily?!) via ASOT etc.

ANYWAYS, SAYING CAFE DEL MAR IS A POTENTIAL 'FUTURE' CLASSIC IS RETARDED

Thanks man, at least someone gets me!

Yeah someone mentioned:
Ridgewalker feat El - Find (Andy Moor mix)
Filterheadz - Yimanya

I could definatly agree with that
Sanjoy
when a songs is, say 3-4 years old, I think it could be called a classic.. solarcoaster, speak in sympathy, summer calling, and nothing (93 returning mix) for example..

also, i totally agree that ridgewalkers -find (andy moor remix) and tilt -the world doesn't know will be classics in the future..

some other suggestions:
Scott Bond vs. Solar Stone -3rd Earth (Marco V Remix)
Deepsky -talk like a stranger (markus schulz coldharbour mix)
Probspot -Foreplay
Whirlpool -Under The Sun (All mixes)

and perhaps (?):
Mike Foyle pres. Statica -Space Guitar
Mark Otten -So Serene
Andy Moor -Halcyon
AR52 -Hibernation
paulandrews
Karen Overton - Your Loving Arms
Reflekt - Need To Feel Loved
Luminary - Amsterdam
Jonas Steur - Castamara/Silent Waves
...

Oh and I forgot:

Giuseppe Ottaviani - Linking People
Aquarian
Of the commercial trance tracks that came out in 2006 so far, I think airbase - escape is the only one I'll remember.
Omega_Blue
how old are we talking here? most of these songs i wouldn't even consider classics.. i'm thinking more along the lines of like, 1998 and greece 2000. i dunno.

seems like you are mentioning every other random tune armin plays on ASOT. I've listened to ASOT since day one i 2001 (although I very rarely listen nowadays) and I can guarantee you that not many of the most played tunes is rememberd as classics today.

Being played alot doesn't automaticly mean its a classic.

That's a remake of a real classic.
