sometimes a combination of things makes a night memorable even if the dj didn't deliver as expected..if the bartenders are friendly, the bouncers, the crowd as well, the wait time in the line, then you feel good overall i think, and that in combination with a good set just makes one helluva night... |
Getting exactly that right combination can be a challenge, as crowds vary by the DJ. Personally, I'd say it's most consistent at these venues in the following order: Cielo > Love > BED > Crobar > Pacha > Sullivan Room > Spirit |

I usually find that Crobar and Pacha have a prettier crowd than Spirit and Avalon. Also, B.E.D. and Cielo tend to have prettier crowds as well, though on Thursdays, I've never found it to be that pretentious.
The 18+ and 21+ is commonly discussed on here, too. The parties are similar, just the crowd is different. I tend to find that the 18+ parties tend to have too many immature kids running around who don't know how to behave themselves. |

You forgot Avalon, though we haven't been there in a year, so I don't know what the crowd is like now (I hear it's gotten better) |

| actually i don't, well atleast not in my apartment. i'm sure there is a pair in my parents house somewhere. needless to say i've already tried them on say a few months ago, and lol, not sure i can walk around in them. i feel like im swimming lol |

yes the crowd definitely does define the vibe which then makes for a great or crappy night. you are so right about that.
