NO :( Are you taking Lily with you?

P.S. I agree with Kris...never been there, but a friend of mine lived there for a few years and he showed me a ton of pictures, and holy crap it's gorgeous.

No Lily is staying here, but she is going to Australia for 6 months in July, so she sort of won't be here!

I will miss MANY things about toronto, but i think at some point i need to start thinking long term... and calgary is where i want to be, and now is the best time to be there.

and also, above the other reasons, all my family is in BC - so it puts me much closer to them.

most esp i will miss the guv. but thank god armin goes to calgary once a year :D

i will still post on TOTA

Hope it gets better for you though :(

That's great to hear Johnny. Not many people get that oppurtunity. Glad you're doing what you love :)

Take comfort in the fact that there is only 2 more months!

Unfortunately, no - admin job that is contracted to one of the big three. I got laid off in December (love the Michigan economy) and this is what I found rather than unemployment.

There really isn't a lot of choice here - everyone in my age bracket is leaving this state - only the friends I have still in school or otherwise unable to leave are staying. I might be eating Ramen for a month in Colorado but I'm happy to take on that challenge in exchange.

I have been looking online and the amount of geology or outdoor retail jobs are amazing (my two most experience in and most favored professions). Here's to hoping!

Man if you did that would be awesome! You can tell the passengers it takes 5 hours instead of 4 so we can hang out for an hour! Hah

Dear God I haven't seen you in forever! You better be out and about on Saturday!

Life is too short to be working at a JOB that you dislike. I love my position, but don't get me wrong, there is plenty of stress to go around. I work customer service for merchants. I find the most stress comes from within, trying to get processes and procedures changed to facilitate and accomodate our clients.

******One thing for sure is I DO NOT bring my work home with me. This is key when trying to keep sane.********

I think I've found some kind of balance in regards to carring for my clients, providing them exceptional service and not losing my mind worrying about insignificant yet sometimes major obstacles while trying to provide this type of service. My mentality when dealing with the public is keeping in mind that the customer is number one, we should bend backwards to satisfy the relationship. Unfortunately the company I work for is the complete opposite, and I find myself disagreeing more with employees and supervisors then having confrontations with clients. I fight to try and satisfy the clients needs and internally am viewed as the enemy at times.

I've decided to not give my opinion on improvements as management seems to frown upon suggestion even though they ask for our input to improve things.

I guess my point is that you have to care/not care at the same time and pick you battles. Your job, in my opinion is only as stressfull as you decide it is going to be.

I hope you can find a position that you would like as it makes a huge difference in all aspects of your life. Good luck.
