for your first jump your chute is incontrol of your instructor. you basically just do simple things such as guiding yourself to go right or left and balancing yourself etc etc. for your second jump your chute pull string will be attached to a release wire in the aircraft. as you jump out of the aircraft the release wire automatically pulls on your chute and as u decend the chute starts to open.after you have made a number of decent jumps only then you go up to heights of like 15 or 20 thousand feet where you control everything from opening your chute to your freefall time and other crazy stuff like surfboard attached to your feet or you sitting on bicycle lolz

Looks like it is going to be a fun day...

I will figure out more details this weekend... I think it would be a good idea to book this soon, so none of us chicken out and we know we are confirmed for the Saturday.

On a side note: Last night I was rock climbing and tried an overhang route... when I slipped off the wall I was dangling at 25 ft, swinging back and forth... I had to close my eyes... I thought I was gonna puke!!
Then I say "And I wanna jump out of a plane!" I am so scared of heights...

but what better way to face your fears than tackle them head on...

I just did my first ever jump here in florida today. The 60 second freefall was unbeleivable but once the shute opened and my instructor started doing all those spins , it occured to me that I have motion sickness and I almost threw up from 5000 feet above the ground.

Its worth the money for a first time jump + getting video is a must.
