- Exactly!
- Never seen lawler before, and to be honest, it was just "okay". (not being able to dance up there because it was so packed didn't help either. When a really good track was on, you couldn't do anything about it because you had an 8" radius to dance on. But on a side note it was actually pretty cool chilling on the roof, such a nice day. (maybe thats what skybar is all about, i just wans't ready to quit dancing)
- Ended up at some forest "rave" in Cherry Beach, it was actually pretty good, about 40 people, good tunes and they were handing out strawberries, which i thought was random, but none the less welcomed. After about 2 hours, got broken up by cops, apparently someone who was taking a morning jog seen a bunch of people dancing at 9am, listening to "that music" and he called the cops because we were "up to no good".
- Gallery once again, amazing, even Addy this time.
- Sasha I hope your willing to share Sydney Blu:D
PS. Peter (DJ Sketchbag) thanks for the after party, most crazy, hilarious, randomness afterparty i've ever experienced. and Tony: You are the definition of "hardcore".
As Cale put it, "Fun as ".

nice video man but too bad you've spent a lot of time filming girls up at the skybar, would of been better to see the people and more lawler interaction with the crowd and stuff :toocool:
My friend called one of the girls a Shakira wannabe since she was doing her moves, i dont know why were those girls there in the first place because it was a just a useless distraction from the music and lawler. They didnt look classy at all, felt like they were picked up at a local top40 club and brought in to dance the the rest of the morning.

you said things pretty good man
awesome seeing you out again ang, friggin miss you tons. we were dancing our asses off in the gallery! I had alot of fun :)
My friends cusin comes up to me with two of her friends. I havent seen this girl in like 4 years or something! then her friend is like "dan?" apparently knows me, and one of my friends. I tryed to think back to where I first met her, and she tryed to fill me in too haha. It was just crazy though. Never thought i'd see my friends cusin at guvernment, just because of the music she was into before and stuff. It was cool though. she seemed just ABIT intoxicated lol.
For some reason I attempted to do a C-Walk in the orange room lounge area to some rap song that was on lol.
skybar is pretty cool, but I wish I went up earlyier. Not used to coming outside in the sun to party, after being in a darkend club for 8 hours, then everyone seeing you look like total hell from sweating your ass off all night and being just dirty lol. I just wanted to take a shower so bad, THEN go outside with everyone lol. skybar was wicked for the 15minutes I was up there before it ended though. :)

Glad I finally got to hear Nathan Barato spin. He was fantastic, twice.

Lawler is my hero so I went into this expecting the moon and then some.
We got there around midnightish and guestlist went smooth - 10 minute wait tops. Nathan Barrato gave me chills upon entering - nice warming up set. It felt like he wanted to just bang it out and bring it up another level but he showed excellent restraint in warming up the Lawler. When they opened the stage behind the booth, I booked my booty up there and got a spot on the rail right behind the DJ.
I will say this for the first time ever - if I see one more fackin' pair of glowsticks being used ninja style (aka without skill, talent, or any higher purpose) in which flailing into my face is involved, I am seriously going to put my rugby moves into practice. Grrrr....but then Lawler went on and I forgot my point.
The timing in the beginning to be in synch with the nitris cooling system (they added like 2-3 more vents further back into the Guv) was sick along with the confetti burst and excellent laser show. I got some of the most incredible videos looking out over the crowd as Lawler did his little shimmy in the booth and spun. He opened it well but then lost me after the first few tracks. After an hour of holding my position, I gave up and immediatly lost my crew. Wandered into the Gallery and was like "hot damn! sounds almost like techno!" and stayed in there for a bit (I think this was around 3:00am???).
Went up to Skybar around 4am - saw a loverly stairwell fight (one of many fights I saw that night - full moon much?) but other than that - no problems. Barrato was great upstairs again as well - his track selection to me was better than Lawler's overall. Skybar was a treat but not quite the luxurious feast that was last year's. The people up there weren't quite right and the tunes just weren't as choice either. I think that Sasha and Lawler feeding off each other was a better pep up for the music and the crowd than a tuckered Lawler on his own. The cold didn't bug me too much - dancing helped out with it as well as our little corner pile of women and a Keith in the corner.
Overall, this Lawlerience was ranked #4 behind Skybar 05, System 05, and Gallery 05. He is spinning in Detroit Thursday night at Bleu and I might attend simply to get to stand behind him and see what he brings to his first ever Detroit show.
To the TOTAs - a pleasure as always. It's a rare find to see so many smiling faces in a city 4 hours away from home and you continuously make me feel a native even if I do have a cruddy Canadian accent.
I will post pics and vids tonight when I get home - have at least 10 videos and 120+ pics from what I recall.

The Guv was rammed but nowhere near as bad as Halloween or LoL's packedness. The level of fackered uppered too high folk was huge though - I was playing "pick and place Asians" everytime I went from Guv to patio. It made the place seem more claustrophobic than it really was.
Went up to Skybar around 4am - saw a loverly stairwell fight (one of many fights I saw that night - full moon much?) but other than that - no problems. There was plenty of room except in front of the DJ booth where it seemed imperative to get within touching distance of the DJ with no hope of touching him. Barrato was great upstairs again as well - his track selection to me was better than Lawler's overall. Skybar was a treat but not quite the luxurious feast that was last year's.
