that was excruciating. shame about the disallowed t&t goal, my prediction would have been spot on otherwise
really hope the players/sven realise how poor they were and start learning from it. some encouraging performances though... particularly lennon |

I guess that one makes up for the non foul called on Terry against Portugal two years ago. "German television proved..." off.

STFU if you haven't even seen the footage, idiot. They enlarged the scene, playing it on slow-mo. It's crystal clear for everyone to see. |

Terrible first half for England... they got serious in 2nd half and they proved to be the better side on the pitch. However I was honestly worried how 2 or 3 players were giving so much trouble specially on the headers to the english defense.
I'm so sad Crouch didn't pull his robo move :( :( :( |

wah wah wah...there are fouls on nearly every play in the box on high crosses. Pushing and shoving goes on ALL the time. I saw the replay 5 times and didn't see anything blatant.
Gerrard needs more freedom. Why Sven persists with two attacking mid fielders I will never understand. Gerrard makes things happen, Lampard DOES NOT. Let Stevie roam around like he does with Liverpool and get in on the attack more. It will only produce results. |

- I thought it was a foul by Crouch as well, and had some doubts on the disallowed Trinidad goal (but only saw one replay)
- I get the feeling english fans dislike Lampard because of being a key Chelsea player. I think he's absolutely excellent, but agree he can't be on the pitch along Gerrard. Bring on Hargreaves even if he's and take out one of them - everything should be more balanced. |

Sweden not being able to score one at all in 90+ minutes. England scored when they had to and that's all that matters. The group stage means little as long as you qualify.
And if Crouch's goal was a foul, he might as well not even bother to play. He's 6 foot 7...he goes up for a ball against an opponent. Obviously there is going to be some contact and because of his size, it looks like he's leaning all over people. As I said, pushing and shoving, hands around the neck, etc is commonplace on headers in the box. |

tbh, i think our weakness up front is what's keeping them both on.. really need more forward thinking players until rooney gets properly up & running. our defence isn't too bad either way so it's not like it's urgent |

Powerhouse European Team vs a carribean country appearing in the WC for the first time?:conf: :conf:
I was expecting England to cruise 3-0 from the get go, not a last minute slobberknocker |
