Well I haven't listened to the Remix nor the original one yet but you know, there should be a indication why people have voted Tiesto as best Remixer this year at Trance Awards 2006. I haven't seen any great remix from Tiesto within 2005-2006 and that's why I wonder how Tiesto got this award...just because he isn't out there anymore and just an award given to him in order to honour? Weird..Armin is coming with a momentum that not any DJ will not be able to stand in front of him..Trance Awards 2006 has been the first notification; 5 awards..DjMag is awaiting!

Now there, I feel so bad writing about Tiesto. His sets and albums got me into Trance and I really used to enjoy his music. But after being in this scene for a few years, listening better music of other artists, becoming a Tranceaddict, reading COR whores flamming tiesto :D , negative posts about him in Music Discussion, and ofcourse, not to mention his awesome trainwrecking skills at the decks, my respect for him has reduced considerably. But I do ocassionally enjoy listening to his albums and it makes me nostalgic :)
Now Pirates track brings back nostalgia because he has used samples from the good old Flight 643 :stongue:

I'm guessing he won that award because those who voted still love Silence.

I don't know what is up with Tiesto getting any award for remixer of the year.. have not heard about it personally. Isn't that a bit like giving George Bush the humanitarian of the year award?
I mean it's now become common knowledge that pretty much all Tiesto's best tracks had most of the work done by someone else!
