The truth about "Tiesto" productions and remixes... (pg. 3)

It's pretty common knowledge that a lot of DJ-come-producers let engineers and co-producers do the major work. Sasha once said about his partnership with May (and various other producers down the years), that Sasha knows exactly what he wants from a track, but usually can't recreate that sound in the studio alone.
The real issue is one of creativity- does Tiesto conceptualise a track and then work with producers and engineers to get it sounding like he wants, or does Tiesto put his name to other people's ideas? |

| Who really actualy cares? What does it matter what name is on the sleeve of the song? Its the music that matters. Its just like a lamborghini, owned and made by audi, but badged as a lamborghini to sell because of the legendary name. |

If I have to appreciate someoneīs work, itīs good to know whoīs behind that. In your example, everyone knows itīs Audi. In Tiestoīs case 95% of people who listen to his tracks think itīs produced by him. Itīs logical, because Tijs Verwest is the one who stands behind the decks and plays these tunes, heīs the only one who talks about them as a producer. You canīt search the original composers, there arenīt any official lists who exactly made all the Tiesto productions. Itīs a lie. |

| Since Tiesto reads the Tranceaddict forums why not ask him if its true or not. I would imagine he would be more than willing to respond to such evil backstabbing in a heart beat. Let's find out and end this subject quick. |

In the case of Flight 643 we can see from ADATO Tijs created the idea of the melody, but it wasn't until his engineers made his concept that they changed it to being flat.
I'd suggest that its something like this - with Tijs having an initial spark, of what he wants - but not the knowledge to actually put it into some software to make it work. The same as your Sasha example above. |

95% think it's Tiesto because it is their own choice to not give a like the other 5%.
That you would care about something like this, clearly puts you into the latter category, along with probably all this forum and the other trance fora out there.
We can reel off all the classic examples of technicians and artists, so whats the beef with the "masses" only knowing its Tiesto. Pop artists have songwriters and teams of technicians to create their songs... why is this any different, that anybody but the realllllly clued up fanbase know that the only thing the singer does is stand their looking pretty? |

alright now explain why hes still releasing tracks under the allure guise. most people have no idea whose behind the alias. it just doesent add up. |
They resurrected the old alias to make darker, more club-oriented tracks that he could use at the Tiesto In Concerts - that could (or should!) be released on a name other than "Tiesto" (giving them less mass appeal to be played on all the ed up commercial stations etc).
That the original alias was intended for Cor and Tijs to use together bares little significance to him using the alias again in my opinion. Cor and Tijs had a shedload of aliases back then, and as good friends i'm thinking Cor had no objection to Tiesto releasing his own tracks on the same alias name. |

thats why its a secret |

A lot of what the Kindness of Irish is saying is repeated - based only on 4-5 distinct facts that pretty much any long-standing tiesto fanboy would know (not all the fanbase simply stare and dribble).
Its all too easy as a frustrated dropped engineer to heatedly discuss with the general public the position you've held or known someone to hold.
The method, accusation and sheer fallability of the internet audience, has lead to this getting very out of hand.
If the engineer was so frustrated, they would have filed a case against Tiesto already. The fact that they haven't can only mean there is no evidence to back these statements up. Without any base for legal action, the only thing they can offer to themselves for some retribution is to leak it to the internet community and have some fun.
In any case, the only people who would want to listen to this kind of spin, is us... vibrant internet communities who are willing to learn who made the trance masterpieces etc. and would find some kind of foulplay in the "TRUTH" behind the lies.
Let the hype machine roll on... Let the 95% wonder what the this thread is about, let the 5% think what a bastard Tijs is... and please, lets not forget the very small percentile of people, who knew some of these things already, but just really didn't give a flying . Cos at the end of the day, apart from the disgruntled sound techy... no-one should be too bothered by this.
There is legal process and judicial court that can take the matter further should these people be frustrated enough. But i think we all know its a lot easier, and a lot less risky to just name and shame on the internet for some egotistical vengeance. |
