this is the third time I've been asked to get off the line at crobar. I think that'll be my last time, going out seems like such a hassle these days. The thought even came up if we should go in khaki shorts with button downs just to say cool inside the club LOL. I don't know, the more I think about it, the more it just makes sense to me that missing a set from a DJ is better than attempting to go and getting rejected for attire. |
Its prob. just the asian thing bro. I hear they do that to lots of asians on the line, fob or not. Sucks either way. PACHA IS MY NEW FAVORITE CLUB. CROBAR with its crappy crowd and SPIRIT AND THEIR BIMONTHLY PARTIES THERE. |

yeah i seriously wonder about that too -- does NOT make sense whatsoever...whether it be fobs or guidos that come in packs...they are letting in the very ppl that give the scene a bad name
ive also seen ppl get yanked off the line for b.s reasons, esp. at Crobar - like the one time where they 'claimed' that the club was bought out by some guy, so everyone just HAD to get off the line...and talk about being *inconsistent* with the dress code, yes ive heard of crobar not letting ppl wearing hats/sneakers/tshirts...but then you come all dressed up the next time and do get in, and what do you see on the main floor? hats, sneakers AND tshirts! I just don't get it. ive never heard of the 'no jeans' rule tho...
sorry to hear that happened to you. its so retarded...i dont like Crobar much anymore either... |

What I like most is how they dont care about the fact that ure gonna spend close to $100 for the nite there. No, ure money is no good. Lets not let u in. WTF. :conf: Ive seen them do this on nites where the plae was half empty and my friend wanted to come out to DT playing there last November. |

Sorry to hear Brian. Paul was a bitch to me there once like 2 years ago about wearing a T-shirt and I ended up going home to change because we were meeting someone there. On Saturday I got in wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and I wasn't alone inside the club dressed like that. Also, what time was this, because when we got there at like 12:30, the place was still pretty empty.
The asian thing, though, I'm not sure about. I read that whole thread on rhythmism and parts of the massive threads on CP about it awhile back, but when we were in line on Saturday, there were 2 or 3 huge groups of asians, mostly late 20's to young 40's that came in right before us. I'd say that there were at least 25 people, though the guys were all dressed up in button-ups and slacks if I recall. |

We got there are 10.30 LOL - I guess enough about the not getting in thing, i'm over it.
So how was it? How was the set? Any pics of the long haired Digweed... |

Sorry you all had such a hassle. We girls never have a problem. As my friend says, bitches get to wear whatever they want. Perhaps one small advantage to being femele.
Anyhoo, I thought the set was great, had me going for hours. Better than any other show I'd seen of his, very good energy. I didn't recognize Digweed with the long hair, he looks so much younger now. |

| The main reason they don't let people in at the ropes is when it's a group of guys with no girls. Dress stylish and bring girls with you and there should be no problems. |

Does a man bring wood with him to a forest to build a fire? |
