Although I left at 4, all I have to say is WOW!!!
Been a long time since I've been to Diggers and if this is how he has been spinning then I have been missing lots.
Brian, where the hell were you, saw you at the door then couldn't find you. |

I thought it was alright, not the best Digweed night, not the worst. He came on at 2 and was still spinning when we left at 8:10. Crowd was different than I expected for a Crobar Saturday. The only people we ran into from on here were avikonen, kellybelly, and Max. Good seeing you guys. barosoap started off the evening pretty annoyed, because we weren't down for bracelets, even though she confirmed with the guy she does the guestlist with. Also, he never told us that it was comped before midnight, so we payed $30 each when we arrived at 12:30. Would have been better if the guestlist girl didn't say anything about it. :(
Chloe Harris was playing a lot heavier than I expected from listening to her warm-up set that's floating around. |

That warm up thats floating around was just a taster. Chloe plays many different styles and types of sets really, and at a venue like Crobar, John would play a lot heavier and harder too, so she was just paving the way for him no doubt. |

Due to the ben affleck wanna be, we got rejected at the door several times. Bradley did all he could to get us in but even after we managed to get to the guestlist table (through the table reservation bouncer via Bradley). I guess I'm a bit bitter since I had plenty of comps for the party, yet because of some sneakers and a bad disposition by a guy in a blazer and jeans we was still denied entry.
I don't deserve any special attention and since the truth is clubs get to decide who gets let in or not, I'm facing the reality that maybe crobar just isn't the place to go anymore.

Thats gotta be complete crapolla to me...the bouncer obviously wanted to give you a hard time. Almost everyone in the damn place was wearing jeans and sneakers...I've never had a hard time getting into Crobar, and I hope that trend continues..
As for Digweed, I thought it was one of the hardest set I've heard him play in a long time, and enjoyed myself tremendously throughout the whole set. Great mixing, and I'm not sure if he's began to use Serato as well since their was a laptop being utilized throughout his set. A heard a bunch of tracks from his recent sets, and he was banging it out when I left around 6:30am. I thought his set exceeded the level of intensity and flow than Sasha's of last week. Also, I never heard of Chloe Harris before, but she played a good opening set despite some shakey mixes. I certainly wont be missing his next stop in NY if he continues to bring it like he did last night. |

chloes harris is an very talented performer. I pray for the best for her. She derserves your ears and hearts. This talented artist has been perfecting her style for the last several years. Be it as it may, she has been subjected to opening for big names. Soon soon she will get her time to unleash her rath upon those whom choose to listen.

sometimes you wonder how the average twenty year old doesn't get in, but some 50+ yr old asian guy dressed in an overly tight spandex shirt ends up there.
this is the third time I've been asked to get off the line at crobar. I think that'll be my last time, going out seems like such a hassle these days. The thought even came up if we should go in khaki shorts with button downs just to say cool inside the club LOL. I don't know, the more I think about it, the more it just makes sense to me that missing a set from a DJ is better than attempting to go and getting rejected for attire. |
