it's just a futbol thing. also, i have made it clear on several occasions that i want the europeans to go home empty handed, last time i checked, england was a part of europe, maybe not a part of the european union, but still part of the continent. therefore, i will root for anybody but the brits. i have nothing against the english, or europeans on a personal level. i just don't want them taking the cup. that is all. it's just a WC/football thing, it's not a huge chip on my shoulder that i carry around in everyday life. i hope that sooner or later you will understand this.
also, no one mentioned anyhting about the falklands, or how regan/united states was instrumental in helping england win that one. don't forget that i am amercian, and we kicked the brits out of america. not only that, when argentina was colony of spain, argentina also kicked the brits of argentina w/out help from the spanish. so leave that cross thing of a ma jigger thingy alone, we're talking about football here. |

also, you are going to be waiting a long time before you get the use that cross thingy.... some have been waiting almost 50yrs for england win the WC... then again, you conviently said you can't wait for the brits to win "something", so it looks like you'll be content w/much less. but in terms of winning the world cup? hell, give it to your great grand children, maybe they can use it for something. |

Ecuador looked strong vs. Poland but unconvincing vs. Costa Banana and downright poor vs. Germany. So I really don't know what to expect of them.. I'm guessing (hoping) for another poor show. |
