God, what's happening with England these days? Where are the days of attractive, quick pressure football? How can a bunch of highly talented individuals sum up to such a lame team? |
Well we hired the most dull football manager we could find from swenden. |

England were a complete disgrace, they had about 1 shot on target the whole game. Boring boring football.
I really hope they go out in the next round for the sake of football. |

Ecuador were the better team the first 30 mins but after that we dominated the game.. we forgot to score more, though. If Lampard were in shape it'd have been 3-0. All in all, a deserved win for us. It still wasn't brilliant but we're getting there.. slowly but surely.
Bring on Portuland! |

| Congrats to England... Boring game but Ericsson has promise to take England to the final and that's what's trying. Even though it's boring football. |

| Snooze fest really, I thought both teams were relatively poor. After the goal Equador tried a bit harder but both sides lacked any sort of cutting edge infront of goal. Beckhams free kick (which was great) turned out the be the difference. |

People said exactly the same thing about liverpool when they one the champions league. I don't understand the need for the showing of flair. A win's a win. It seems to have become fashionable this year to slate teams for playing boring football. |

Lampard has been rubbish in midfield all tournament. How the hell can he miss so many chances?
England were quite unimpressive today, but as long as they keep scraping together wins they are in with a chance. They are now going to benefit from a match against Portugal, who will have several key players out through suspension and/or injury.
England needs to sort their midfield and attack out, or there is no way that they are going to win this tournament when they come up against the likes of Argentina or Germany. |

Problem is England hasn't only played boring football, but also appears to be unorganized and many times clueless as what to do with the ball.
Doesn't mean you won't beat us. I expect a stronger England due to the importance of the game and the rivality - that came out of the last few years, especially after Euro 2004 - and also a weaker Portugal with several players out. |
