I remember him doing some stuff mixing in Night Falls that was pretty sweet. And the end with the last mix into Gebrunn Gebrunn was really good.
Has anyone actually heard it or are you just going by the tracklist? |

the instant live concept has a lot of potential. but so much can go wrong that would kill the whole night. |

Yes, but with the issues of reserving rights for a set amount of tracks before the evening even begins, one has to question the ability of the DJ to truly improvise and work a crowd within the confines of his "licensened" crate.
I just think that while it does have potential, the legalities of it will more than likely kill this concept for DJ's before it ever really has the chance to reach its full potential. |

No matter what tracks you play in a club, you still have to have a license to play them, correct? |

Regardless of the technical legalities in different nations with regard to what DJ's are allowed to "play" out live, selling those tracks is another matter completely.
Essentially, you have to secure a whole other set of rights for each track should you decide to sell a set for profit - Just like any release. The only difference with Instant Live is that it's taking a recording made moments ago and selling it, essentially, instantly, meaning you have to have rights to each and every track you could possibly end up playing secured in order to sell the disc immediately following the show. |

true that. wasnt thinking about there being 2 different sets of rights for tracks.
Man Sasha's cd's are all so different. From his Global Underground mixes, his mixes with Diggers, Airdrawndagger, Involver, and Fundacion NYC, and now this...I mean its cool to constantly be evolving as an artist, but seriously, pick something and go with it!!! HAHAHAHAHA |

Yes
And i hate judging a mix on samples, its stupid. Listen to the mix and then judge ;)
A mix is about the vibe, buildup and the flawless mixing aswell, not only what tracks are in it and if they sound cool judging by a sample. |

+1
Just about everyone I know who went thought Sasha put down a pretty good set. It was pretty mellow. Abit "intellectual" maybe. Mindblowing, destroy the club set, no. But very good nonetheless. Definitly Sasha. I find a hell of alot of EDM tracks boring on there own, but in the context of well conceived set, its another matter. |
