I don't get why everyone has such a hate on for her.
Is it because they're trying to compensate for the fact that they found someone hot who later put on a little weight?
She's just a person. she gets stressed and fat and pregnant and sloppy and bitchy and whatever just like the rest of us.

My hate stems from her complete lack of musical ability...
it bothers me so much when coperately generated and computer enhanced ( i know EVERYONE has computer enhancing these days... but ppl like britney spears and hilary duff who sounds NO WHERE near like they do on their cds then live is what i mean by enhancement) "artists" are super popular when there are real artists with real talent constantly being swept aside...
like i said in my other post i think the pictures are very beatiful and i'm totally for it... but i still don't like her because she is just...well to put it bluntly.. NOT GOOD...
and its has nothing to do with my choice in music.. i may not like pop music but thats not why i can't stand her... because Christina Aguleria has the most fantastic voice i have heard in the pop field for a long ass time.. brit just isn't good

So you don't like her because you think she is overrated?
That is like me HATING tiesto because I think he's an over hyped up DJ...however, I don't HATE him, in fact I have to respect him for the way he has used media and marketing to push himself to the top.
I just don't understand why people get SO worked up because she gets publicity...it is like her being in a photo is drastically affecting their life. get over it. |

The fundamental error that you make, is that you assume that rationality is the basis for action and thought.
Turn on the tv for a minute. Read a thread for a minute. Look out your window for a minute. Talk to someone for a minute.
Obviously there is a lot of irrationality guiding our thoughts and actions.

No, its not that i don't like her because she is popular and over-rated... i don't like her because she ISN'T EVEN GOOD and yet STILL popular and over-rated...
if she was actually musically creative and talented... i probably just wouldn't really care... but the fact that she is just not good at all and yet still the most popular pop figure really makes me dislike her...
as for tiesto... i could care less if he is popular and over-rated.. Trance Energy 2000 is still probably the greatest set i have ever heard, Lethal industry and MindCircus are two of my favourite all time tracks... fact of the matter is... Tiesto is GOOD.. he deserves to be popular and over rated.. he's had his struggles as a Dj and all his hard work paid off and now he is on top on the world.. i say good for him!
Britney spears however was picked out of a bunch of teens.. gets her songs written for her and all she has to do is sit there and look cute while sound editors made her voice good... and what the came up with wasn't even that good anyway

See, but I don't think he is.
As a DJ i wonder what the hell he gets paid so much for when he mixes a record every 7 minutes and then bounces up and down the rest of the time.
It's all a matter of perspective - which is why I don't let myself get worked up because so many other people like someone or something that I don't.
When he gets ranked #1 DJ in the world, I don't give a . I think it's wrong but I don't get all agitated.
Britney has made herself a household name and raked in millions upon millions of dollars doing so. How can anyone fault her for persuing that? |

It seems to me that in a world where celebrity relationships come and go every minute and famous people are constantly complaining that they aren't happy Britney Spears may be the one person who's acting with some intelligence.
Even though her career is pretty much at a stand still and her image is nothing what it was she seems to be making decisions based on what she wants, not what pop culture deems would be right for her.
She has the right to marry anyone she wants, have as many kids as she wants and get as fat as she wants, and if that is what is going to make her happy then I say more power to her. |
