Diving is in every team not just italy we do it best. so stfu. Look at Ballack v Argentina, Ronaldo v France tell me those are not dives are worse than what Italians do.
Aussies need to stop bitching. You were up a man failed to score and your stupid defender dove into what should be a shoulder 2 shoulder tackle and lifted his arm up. Go back to rugby and cricket |

EDIT: Germany for the win 3-1. Uncreative ideas in midfield will bring Italy's rock solid defense down. Their solitary goal coming from counter attack and/or dive. |

and it's an attitude like that, which has allowed the game to turn ugly. If the people denounced their own players for diving do you think they'd do it? of course not, but people like you turn a blind eye and savour a cheap victory.
Clear cut cases of diving would be driven out of a team like Australia purely because the public here wouldnt allow it. We'd rather see a fair contest (win or lose) rather than dog our way to victory.
I dont mean to single out Italy for their game against Australia.. I mean, most major powers from Europe and South America do it. FIFA should use video footage and suspend players who dive, in their post-match reviews. It's only FIFA's lack of heart to stand up against superpowers (and the money they bring to the table) that allows these pigs to get away with it. |
