lets face it, my beloved football will never catch on in the U.S., not that i care, i aqctually like it that way. (Most of my lifestyle is very euro even though i grew up in NY,its just better)but i thought of a solution every A.D.D american can enjoy
http://www.metacafe.com/watch/11704..._soccer_skills/
solution= indoor soccer, the space is allready there just convert basketball courts, faster action, cool "cracks" fancy moves, and ofcourse higher scores!
P.S. it will only work if they play some ill hooks n' beatz during the game holla!! |

your beloved soccer has already been taken up by 8 year olds and their moms across the country.
we will leave it there.

to re-hash my argument from previous threads
"soccer" will never catch on in the united states because
1. The entire country has been fooled into believing they have some form of ADD/AHDH. ADD didn't even exist 50 years ago! No wonder it's nicknamed "the prozac nation"
people need to see scoring to keep them interested...
here's a tip: next time you watch a soccer game, multiply every goal by 6, and in the end you'll get the same amount of points as your average NFL game
2. The game is 90 min straight with no breaks in play, pauses, interruptions. Which means they can't make any money off of it (where would they stick the commercials in?)
P.S.
in case some think I am biased, I enjoy NFL and MLB as much as "soccer"
I learned to love those sports by actually trying to learn the rules and the "point" of the game
I used to think baseball was the most boring sport in the world and it wasn't until the 1999 ALDS (where my sox came back from 2 games down to beat the indians) when it finally dawned on me and it was then that I actually "got the point" of the game
same with NFL |

There is a break between the (two) halves, actually :p
Other than that, there are offsides, substitutions, free kicks and anticlimactic events of all sorts :D |

yeah i know but you know what i meant
in NFL you have the 2 minute warning, the timeouts and the time between quarters
in MLB you have the pitching changes and the time between innings (or half innings? :)) |
