What a 4th of July. This was my highlight of the festivities for sure. I am still recovering. So I am a little later in my review.
When I arrived Armin was banging it pretty good. Lots of Euphoric moments. I heard from some other friends that he had just just started to pick it up, so I am glad I missed the "Armin trying to do prog" hour. I think the part of his set I heard was pretty good. A bit too dutch techno-ish in spots for me, but thats always gonna happen with the big dutch tranc DJs so it doesnt bother me too much.
I was a little bit worried about Markus playing after Armin. Usually the place clears out after a proper banging set like that. But man, Markus was incredible. Nobody left the floor, as a matter of fact I thought Markus did a great job of continuing the energy after Armin, then about 45 mins into his set he played Karen Overton, and worked his way into his signature sound. Great way to keep the vibe and party going. When we left at 7am (Markus started at 3am), he was still going.
I think Armin and Markus could be the Sasha and Digweed of the trance genre. They both have their own succesful thing going individually, when they play together it is always the best party of the year for me, and they compliment each other very well. |

If you knew me. You would know I'm a huge armin/markus fan..And I will see Armin/Markus any day instead of any pair of tities. :disbelief ....The tities would have been an extra bonus for one of the best nights I ever seen. |

DJs get all the chicks....now gotta google a pic of some girl blowing the DJ while he is spinning, I know they are out there, I have seen them :p |
