If you are referring to "Love Sex Intelligence", then yes ;)

Very nice!!!

It didn't go into all the previous influences of the genre though. I used to listen to groups (I even have their CDs somewhere still) like The Shamen and Nitzer Ebb. Didn't they influence the genre a little?

I'm asking because I really do not know, but did Trance start in Germany? Wasn't it the old school dance (I'm thinking of songs like 'Rhythm is a Dancer') and the aforementioned that really got it going?

yea i think it was the old skool genre from 88-92 paved the way for trance.

I think he/she might be talking about the track 'Ebeneezer Goode' which was by the Shamen. I think. Released in 1992.

Ya know

Eeez er good eeez er good
it's Ebeneezer Goode!

I know a guy called Max who used to dance for the Shamen - really cool guy. He used to do stuff like dressing up as a caterpillar and dancing on top of big magic mushrooms etc!

One of the funniest things about the shamen is that they performed Eberneezer Goode at an anti-drugs day in england before the establishment clued up to what they were singing about:D

Don't forget 'Move any Mountain' by the Shamen, and by the way - surely someone can ID a couple of the tracks in this video?

She!.... I fookin ope not! LOL
Yeah i was was refering to ebeneezer Goode, but also Love Sex Int.

One thing i love about this whole 'scene' is how it is a can do attitude, what i mean is when I bought dex, my mum thought it was a waste of money, when i put on a few parties, my dad thought I was wasting my time, but I'm still here and interested. It's like the attitude is 'who cares what you say, I'm doing this'. It's created a whole world of interest, with different creative processes like video and other art.

Substorm, you're the man for finding this for me! You absof*ckinlutely made my weekend.

Fantastic clip. Heaven to hear Marmiom - Schoneberg again. Brings back some memories!

I'm so f*cking inspired by seeing this: this is what drove me 20+ (!) years ago in producing EDM and this is what will inspire me again. This is pure. This is real.

Now all you kids who think trance is supersaw: be quiet, watch and learn.

Substorm, thanks again!

Dont go there again :P, ive had it with supersaw discussions! Im a supersaw freak my self, but i dont care anymore what people say about it!

Some say its old, and some say its to modern! Its sad to see that EDM has become a comercial contest on who is going to make the next historic sound! But what sound i trance music can compete with the supersaw? I think it has had the longest era of all synth sounds in trance music as long as ican remember, and i dont think it will die just becuse the big comersial labels like to be "new" all the time. But you can see that eaven them fall back to the "old" sounds someimes when thay relise that this is what the people like to hear!

In my opionion is that the only way you can make a massive tune without a really good synth riff, is if you have a real killer melody. And that is a chanllange i will let time deside if i will make one, untill then i will continue to play with my supersaws in my productions! BUT THIS IS JUST ME, cus im a supersaw freak! :P

The day someone claims that the electric guitar is to old for having in a rock song, That day that someone claims that deep basses is to old for drum nībass and hip hop, that day that someone claims that a piano is to old to have in a classical composion, that day its to old to have a supersaw in a trance track, and the list goes on...

That day is the end of music in my opinion. Nothing in music can ever be old, just the tune you have made and will take to your grave will get old with you.

Of course, the music evolves every day, but i can promise you that after seeing his video, will open a new era of trance music for some people, and it all will go back to where we started off. Its like this with everything.

Shoure you can spend hours after hours trying to make a unique sound, but if its not pleasing peoples ears and senses, whats the point?

This video is a good proof on what i all was about in the beginning, itwas about feelings, and making people dance and thats how i think, not what sounds you used.

I dont know what the i just wrote, i just have a boring friday, but i guess some of it cold be true! :P
