Yeah I actually said in my post I understood what you were trying to say because I thought the same thing before I heard the album. I didn't just write what you were saying as not valid. I never said what I was saying was right and you were wrong for your opinion. I just noted that I took the comment Rebel9 made as to me being like something has to be trance or EDM or underground in order to be good. I probably shouldn't have made a comment like that, I admit, nor did I completely right him off as closed minded, but just felt like that comment seemed like it.
I never meant to get into a big argument about this AGAIN, all I ever said was her two songs I liked and thought were somewhat "dirty" sounding and now it's blown up into this huge thing. Why can't I just post here without my tastes or me personally being insulted or chastised or people making a big deal out of things I say. I was also trying to open people's eyes as to why she changed her sound some, that it wasn't just her trying to sell out to the mainstream for the sake of it (she is mainstream though, has been since her first album got big). I've explained myself enough....I don't care if you love her or hate her or love what I like or hate why I like, just feel some people should be a little more respectful about it. You don't see me going around and calling people's stuff or puke inducing. At least give me some credit for that...I may state I don't like something and why I don't like something, but I don't call it . This is what I can't stand on here....and do whatever I can to avoid it. |

Oh, cause I was actually done with the Nelly Furtado bit... it wasn't that big of a deal to me. I did read that you understood, but you seem to always take things much more seriously than they ever need to be (case in point). I still think she has a ty voice and I still don't like her music, but that is just me, so there is no need to make a mountain into a mole hill and feel as if I am damning you and her. Or, is it just because I used the word "" instead of "not good", or "annoying"? Remember, I did say I quite enjoyed Promiscuous Girl.
Did I criticize you for listening to her? No. I said you shouldn't stop enjoying the music if you like it. I only criticized you for your completely off-base and false after thoughts that seem to come out of nowhere just because you are letting things get the best of you. And quite honestly, I take some offense to those because I AM an appreciative music fan who enjoys other stuff besides dance music. You are doing the same thing you are indeed sick of and that was my point earlier. |

And I realize I am doing that. And I realize I was being off base. Maybe I do take offense to people calling stuff I like . I apologize for making those assumptions but people make assumptions of me as well, including i'm closed minded, as some people have on here. Or that I'm only into epic trance and ASOT and Armin, and i'm not that much (not that there is anything wrong with someone who is). And I've done a lot to prove i'm not these things. Like i've tried to explain. I am also appreciative and enjoy other stuff as well. So lets just drop it, i'm sick of arguing with you about everything, first this week it was that WAV vs. 320 kbps MP3 thing in the DJ booth, now it's Nelly Furtado. Maybe I do take the internet too seriously, but maybe it's because I'm bored and feel I have nothing better to do with my time. Once school starts and get busier I wont be saying this crazy stuff and getting into these stupid discussions... |

So ok, please just let this drop then. Like I said, I was done here, but you apparently weren't and continued on with 2-3 more posts that were meant for me.
As for the wav/mp3 debate, I never replied to you in the first place, you replied to me and I was simply continuing the discussion with you. I actually didn't mind that debate, because the topic is quite interesting to me with regards to the motivations of buying mp3's. I'm sorry that you need to take things more offensively than most.

I honestly have no idea and I'm not so sure that is something myself or anyone else can help you out with (aside from controlling some of the harsher comments). |
