Ironic seems far too little a word considering recent events...
Maybe in 60 years time they'll be complaining when the Palestinians celebrate the Intifadas that freed their country? (Oh wait, they already are, with big off bombs) |

Its rather ironic yesterday's terrorists are todays Heroes, I saw a piece on this exact suject matter called "100 years of terrorism" a while back. Lets look at some examples, the British called the Mau-Mau in Kenya terrorists, the French called the Algerians terrorists in their fight for independence, the Jews as you highlight blew up the Kind David Hotel along with other acts to drive the British out, they were called terrorists, the Apartheid government of South Africa termed the black South African movements there as terrorists and the list could go on. |

Well, call me cynical but I think each side sees the other as terrorists.
Call me even more cynical, but I don't think this will end until one side just "wins." Group A wants group B out of area C. Group B will not leave area C. So, we can fight forever or group B can destroy group A (or vice versa) and put an end to the fighting. Or just nuke all of area C, making it uninhabitable and problem solved again. |

Or...we could split area C in half and share it like most of group A and B want to |

Yes, but even after area C is split in half, the militant and irrational portion of group A continues to attack group B. |

Whatever, it's irrelevant to the topic...
How can Israel justify murdering over 300 innocents to combat terrorism when it is actually celebrated at home? |

Because there's "good terrorism" and "bad terrorism". :gsmile: |

That's shameful :(
| quote: | | “It’s very important to make the distinction between terror groups and freedom fighters, and between terror action and legitimate military action,” he said. “Imagine that Hamas or Hezbollah would call the military headquarters in Tel Aviv and say, ‘We have placed a bomb and we are asking you to evacuate the area’.” |
But, previously, you find:
| quote: | | Mr McDonald and Dr Jenkins denied that the British had been warned |
