My point is, why get this when you can just get a regular dvd player? Can you beatmatch the vid on the dvj? | Yeah, you can beatmatch, scratch, and cue video just like on a vinyl turntable. Plus it has hot loops and hot cues. It's basically a CDJ-1000mk3 for video.
Sander Kleinenberg uses the previous model, the DVJ-X1, on tour, so he can control both audio and video. |

of course but i still dont see a point for it if your a bedroom dj or even at a club. its ok if your working for mtv or some music channel. |
A lot of live acts rely heavily on a visual aspect; Rabbit in the Moon, The Chemical Brothers, etc. would be prime candidates. |

| how many live acts are in the dj booth forum, im not knocking it, it may be something for somebody just aint no use to me. |

| looking at the thing id say its a waste of precious money... just get a computer based program.. you cant beatmatch music videos on the fly... and anyways - no decent dance tracks have good/any music video's anyway! |

go see an act like Coldcut and you'll discover the impact dvjs can have during a show. Mike Relm also makes good use of them.
Just because most people can't afford them doesn't mean they shouldn't be mentioned in the DJ Booth. |

DJ 2nd Natures a kewl dood. He's probaby the best VJ at this time. He does MonsterMix on MTV2. I was gonna go down to Atlantic City for the NAMM show and battle him, but I felt I didn't need to show my leeth4x on him. :stongue:
I don't see a need for an improvment though =\ just something more to waste $3000 on. It looks secks, and if I had money, I'd buy it just because of the sehxcy look. |

we should have a vj forum!
anyway i would rather use resolume, for editing video and audio together in a sequencer requires alittle work, plus i would rather do all things in realtime via midi than preplanned stuff. so there are benifits for both just depends on what suits you? |

| I'd like to get one of those. Usually, when I'm drunk, I open my VirtualDJ, put a video file there and scratch the hell out of it. Also play with effects and things like that, it's a lot of stupid fun for a long time. |
