if every dvd player in the market (well any above 100 dollars) has a component video output...why wouldn't a 3000 dollar dvd player with scratching abilities not have one...btw did anyone notice the composite output...haha old school...

dj gear is now almost like PC stuff......practically redundant by the time it hits the shops as it has been improved upon/rehashed.

not everyone chooses to use ableton or other "PC stuff" as you said

What?
I wasnt talking about Ableton or anything to do with PC dj stuff/software.

I was referring to the fact that DJ equipment is updated so often, it is almost like PC stuff, in that is is updated so fast, and therefore effectively out of date and superceded very quickly.

all to do with ableton.

I think with composite pioneer is trying to reach out to a larger audience because alot of serious VJs still use some pretty old equipment. Serious live visual artists wont be jumping from their oldskool gemlocks and amigas to use dvjs though.

i dont really understand the concept of mixing with dvd's do you mix music videos? or do you have different clips of different things like mountains and stuff and if so where do you play your music would you use a cd deck to play your music and a dvdj playing video?
DJ 00 Tommy
Some people prepare videos with the songs they are going to play and such. Others just have video and have the music on seperate players.

if i had some extra cash...i would love those bad boys... i would think it would be hard to track down videos to play with and all...but having checked out some dvdj vids...it's pretty bad ass...

Could get heaps of videos from live sets of artists you like and such. Vids from movies like human traffic and video clips from animal documentries are fun fun fun!

it sounds a bit tasty it just seems a bit expensive
