To be totally honest, "90's angst." The death of hip hop is more saddening, really. |
I would include hip hop in the 90's angst category. Discontent and frustration with life/society/politics/etc. was a theme in both styles of music. |

Older hiphop(late 80s early 90s) had a message though oftenly I didn't agree with these messages there were there none the less. The only message modern hiphop brings is to degrade women. Thanks for the vids shamez.

Havoc has stayed the same lyrically since the begining. Prodigy has steadily gotten worse as time wore on. Someone had to be writing his lyrics. Also... personally, I like Havoc's verse on Shook Ones a whole lot more than Prodigys. |

dude, Havoc is the producer out of the 2. hes a brlliant producer but not known for being a ill lyricist. P's lyrics gotten worse cuz it just did. maybe he aint hungry no more, maybe he doesnt put much effort into it as he did in the past.. there are many mobb tracks where P has an extra verse and its cuz his was tight. ie. Hell On Earth, Give Up The Goods, Quiet Storm etc.
give up that thought or tell your friend P never had ghostriders.
Puff did, Foxy did, Will Smith did. not prodigy. |

The general perception is that he's better. But I disagree. It's all subjective. |

its pretty easy to see who is a better mc, wordplay, flow, creativity, punches etc. but if youre feelin hav more thats all good, i have no way in that. i'll say this tho, real mcees, lyricists, true hip hop fans/supporters, most will agree that prodigy is the better mc out of the 2. :) |
